Poured from 12 oz. bottle into Schlafly tulip. Pours thick, dark orange. Smells sweet, hoppy and boozy. Tastes like sweet hop nectar with very little bitterness and a noticeable alcohol bite. Very enjoyable to sip slowly as you would a fine scotch. Paid $9.99 for the single bottle at total wine and let it age for about a year. Would definitely buy another bottle (if I see one).

Look: ruddy orange. Smell: Booze-soaked fruit bread. Taste: weird boozy mix of rum, raisins, candy, and, a bit of something more tropical. Feel: Heavy, maybe with candied stickiness. I drank the beer fresh and checked off a bucket list beer without joy or any desire to find more. They say you shouldn't criticize a dancing bear for the quality of his moves, and maybe it's wrong to criticize this beer, which can't help being too big and too awkward to make the moves asked of it.

Great heat effect, yet refreshing. Love it!

A: slight haze; copper in color; less than a 1 finger off white head that receded to a wispy cap; no lacing;

S: the booze is predominant, but there is some malt in the background;

T: as with the aroma, the booze overshadows everything, but there is malt evident and a little pine toward the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish; warm, but really smooth considering the ABV;

O: really enjoyable sipper;

Dogfish Head makes the best craft brews. I’ve been waiting a long time to taste this beer since the tv episode “Don’t cry over spilled 120”. I can tell you one thing, I would most definitely cry! Love the bottled stuff however the draft version seems to last a while longer :)
