Attractive reddish brown color with small white cap.

Scent of tart cherries on a base of roasted malt. A noticeable tartness seems to rise up and cover all else.

Taste is a beautifully complex melange of tart, sour cherry, green apple and roasted malt on an oak base. This is another one that introduces with a burst of flavors that remain consistent through the finish then exiting gracefully in the aftertaste.tart
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

A Flanders Red blended from young and old (18 months) ales that have been aged in oak barrels. This process produces a complex brew that is surprisingly fresh tasting.

One of my long time favourite beers. It's has a fun yet complex flavour, and it's bound to be appreciated by any serious beer aficionado.

Dark reddish color with an off white head. Very strong malt vinegar scent on the pour. Taste was not of vinegar. Notes of cherry finished with the oak made this very drinkable and slightly tart on the tongue. Very good once I was used to the scent on each sip.

She pours a gentle deep dark amber/red close to a brown color and leaves the same colored body with a one finger white foamy head. There is a light lacing that clings slightly here and there but slides into the body for the most part. The smell has an extremely well balance between sweet sugary cherries and light apples to light sour notes. The tartness is there as well. There is a light vinegar aspect that adds into the aroma but doesn’t appear to be off at all as it just seems to assist in the balancing of it all. The taste is very balanced once again between the sweetness to the sourness to the tartness blending beautifully all the way through. Light sticky sweet cherry-like aftertaste with a somewhat sweet dry finish. On the palate, she sits about a light to medium on the body for me with a decent effort to want to be sessionable. I think this one could be fairly sessionable, though I will say that the carbonation is extremely smooth - there isn’t any harshness to take my tongue for granted. Remember, she’s a lady not a beast. Overall, I would love to have for a date again and would definitely would like to have again with its respected food. She’s just an all around incredibly awesome Flanders Red Ale.

I really wanted to like this. I have tried sour Belgian before and found it awful. It's a personal taste thing. This one is clearly more balanced than the other was (can't remember the name, but it doesn't matter) but not enough. The tart cherry is so overwhelming that it actually makes me shiver. Way too sour to enjoy. As soon as I'll finish this, I will need something sweet, so I shall have a glass of Fonseca Bin No. 27 Port.
Cheers!
