L - pours a nice thick head at about 50 degrees. Reddish-Brown
S - spicy, apple, alcohol
T - a little sweet/tart, spicy, apple,
plum, raisin
F - very balanced, just the right amount of tingly carbonation, compliments the flavors just right
O - very good classic example of a Belgium reddish brown sour ale. Very well balanced and one of the best imo

L - 2 finger head that dropped to 1 finger after 3 minutes; tannish colored head, some lacing.
S - very noticeable, sweet/sour, oak, raisins, plums
T - sweet start, sour finish, raisin, plum, oak, better when cooler (sweetens when warmer)
F - well carbonated (champagne bubbles), medium body
O - one of my favorite Flemish red sours (but behind Rodenbach); just a touch too sweet

Poured from a 750 mL bottle into two glasses. This is my first time with a sour beer, so it was exciting and interesting.

Look - Dark reddish brown, almost like a cola color. Short head that didn't stick around too long.

Smell - Wonderful fruit and spice notes. The first thing that came to mind was cinnamon apples, but I also got some cloves and overripe pear from it.

Taste - When cold, it was incredibly tart. Very sour cherry flavor. As it warmed, it became increasingly sweet, almost too sweet for my tastes.

Feel - Highly carbonated with very small bubbles. Reminded me of drinking a soda.

Overall - An incredibly complex beer with something new to find on every sip. However, if you're unfamiliar with the style, I'd recommend having somebody to split the bottle with. One glass was enough for me.

To me this is about the best a sour can be - nicely balanced with sweetness and a moderate ABV. This is a beer I return to again and again as I enjoy it heads and shoulders above a lot of other sours I’ve sampled.

L: Hazy red color, almost no head, no lacing, no carbonation.

S: Wine, oak.

T: Wine, oak, raisins, champagne-like, malty. Outstanding!

F: Light to medium bodied. Lots of flavor.

O: Exceptional beer. Lives up to the hype.

Sweet and sour at the same time. The fruit notes are not overpowering. Loved this very curious tasting beer.
