Slightly murky brown/ ruby cola. Cola-like fizzy carbonation that disspaites quickly.

Aroma is of cherry pie, honey, berry jam, and a kiss of funk.

Taste is surprisingly sweet. Very jam-like with a subtle tartness on the finish. More sweet than acidic. Lots of jam-like fruit character mixed with a bit of funky leather and a kiss of rubber.

Overall, the beer was a bit too sweet for my liking. I don’t need an overkill in the tart arena, but I do need something more to cut through the richness. It gets a 83.5/100.

A good Flanders Red, but i wish the Brewers wouldn't add as much sugar.
If i want a Sour Beer, i'd like it to be sour.

I've downed 3 bottles of this brew in the past 2 months and have been pleasantly pleased with it's quality and consistency to date. With that said, this fruit forward mildly sour beer is a treat more than a staple. It looks and smells a bit like a funky raspberry beer. It has a fruity/oaky taste that evolves as it warms; I don't get as much of a balsamic taste others have reported. It is simply delightful to drink. If you are feeling adventurous or are just looking to something different, snag a bottle!

Go Hokies!

LOOKS: Very dark red, ruby up to the light with a massive strawberry head of foam that lingers, and leaves lots of lacing behind.
AROMA: Tart, white and red wine, and green apple. Woody, like from a wine cork.
TASTE: Tart, but also a nice bit of sweetness, so, balanced. Lots of green apple and wine notes.
FEEL: Well carbonated, medium thin body, and quite dry, especially on the finish.
OVERALL: Really flavorful and balanced. New fan here.

Great! In laymans terms its sour like a lemon without the lemon flavor, substituted with grape feel and taste.

Poured from green one pint 9.4 fluid ounce bottle into glass. No bottling date information found.
Reddish brown, clear body. Fizzy head settles to bubbles at ring from carbonation. No lacing.
Aroma of tart and sweet cherry, and yeast funk.
Taste of tart and sweet cherry, and yeast funk. Settles into a woody aftertaste, oakey. Has a carbonated spritz throughout.
Medium mouth feel, just right to match the taste and aroma.
A treat to drink as a Flanders Red Ale. Sweet but not too sweet, and balanced with sour aroma/taste. A positive beer experience.
