Gold in color with a fingernail of dishwater white on top. Moderate lacing. The aroma is of pungent piney hops. The first sip confirms that this is a bold, West coast piney hop bomb. There's a lengthy deep hop burn to the tongue that lingers well past the fade. The mouth is lightly sticky and chewy.

12oz. bottle: This one pours an orangish golden color. There was a small off white head on it. Good nose. Pine, grapefruit ans some grassy hop notes. Taste is good. Somewhat bitter, good malt body, Pine and grapefruit hop flavors. Decent brew!

Initial impression from a bottle purchased as part of a sixer in Colby, Kansas:
Brewed with "Columbus, Centennial, and Citra hops." "Unfiltered." "India Pale Ale." Best by portion of label is unnotched.

03/14/18 impression from yet another bottle of the sixer I bought:
Floral hop flavour combines with pale malt sweetness to form a balanced IPA. Hop profile is underwhelming but competent.
Drinkable and enjoyable, though not up there with the best in the style.

Look: hazy golden with a thin white head
Smell: fresh and full of citrus
Taste: hoppy citrus with a respectable malt backbone that keeps things balanced.
Feel: dry with medium high carbonation
Overall: a very good IPA from Free State, it won't blow you away but it can hold its own in the world of IPAs. 7.5%abv 68ibu
