A Contemporary style IPA with an Irish twist. Combining the balance of European IPAs with the generous dry hopping of American pale ales (APAs), this beer is everything an IPA should be and more.
Zesty and refreshingly bitter, the finish is long. With a copper tone body topped with a lightly carbonated head, the dry hopping brings an intense aroma and lasting array of fruit and floral notes.

April 2011: 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Dry hopped. Golden colour, big white head. Strong fruity / citrussy aroma of Cascade and Amarillo hops, some hints of stale / rotting citrus peel too. The flavour is also citrussy and zesty, with a proper bitterness in the finish. Quite good.

Bottle at the Old Storehouse pub in Temple Bar
Deep gold in color with a reddish hue and a good sized frothy white head that persists. Bready caramel maltiness citrus and pine and earth to counter.

On draught at Old Chicago.
Pours a crystal clear gold with a good head of foam and lacing.
Smell is light but I get a gentle hop bitterness that is hard to describe. Slightly grassy yet slightly of the citrus kind. Earthy malt that's sweet in a slightly way.
Taste is slightly hoppier than malty, lol.
Read my description for smell and you've got the gist of it.
Good mouthfeel, balanced, drinkable.
Can't go wrong with a pint or 2.

Cerveza dorada, con cuerpo y carbonatación media. Aroma metálico, poco agradable y algo de cereales. En boca es ligeramente amarga, con un final de mezcla de maíz y algo perfumado que deja una mala sensación.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served an copper-amber color with a two finger head of white foam. The head fades slowly over time to leave a rings of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of citrus hop mixed with some bready smells along with a little bit of caramel. Some other lighter aromas of herb and grass are mixed in there as well giving a subtle, but nice aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a cracker malt taste that has a rather big showing of pine and earthy hop. The hops are actually quite big for a pale, and surprisingly very little citrus was on the tongue, even though the nose was strongest of citrus. As the taste advances there is a light showing of some citrus, but it is still dominated by the pine and earthy hop. With a little bit of light fruit tastes coming at the very end, one is left with a rather dank and smooth hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the moderate side in thickness with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. For the nice dank hop and the cracker malt the feel is quite nice as it creates a strong enough medium to support the flavors all while keeping it very easy drinking.
Overall – This is quite a nice pale ale. I was pleasantly surprised at the dankness of it. Quite tasty overall.

Not a bad beer, it’s actually quite smooth!! But the smell and taste where not like the juice bombs I’ve had from the US. Keep at it Ireland, maybe one day!
