This is the closest place to my kid-hood home, so I used to go here a lot. Today I went to pick up a Schell sampler, noticed a decent selection, what you'd normally find in a suberban liquer store. Lots of local brews, the whole Schell line, lots of Summit, Lienies, etc, and there was Flying Dog, Breckenridge, and other decent but affordable beers, along with some better micros. I've always been very welcome here, helpful service, always willing to talk about the selection and willing to hear advice. So, go here if you want your basic stuff, and you're in the area, but otherwise, don't waste you're time, you can get it anywhere else.

The reason I am writing this review is out of sheer confusion. There are many liquor stores in the West Bloomington area that beat the hell out of this place, in selection and price. The location may be convenient for some people, but don't make a special trip here. The selection is very average. They do have many local brews, but that is pretty common. The normal macro-micro mix that you find at any average liquor store. The employees have never asked me for anything except ID. Only go here if it is 8:45 and you can't make it to Blue Max.

This isnt the worst liquor store as far as selection goes, but the main stock of beer that they have is the macros (of course), and then a good selection of minnesota brews. I think they carry the entire lines of summit and james page. Very few really quality craft beers available. Overall, probably not the first place you would want to visit if you come to minnesota.
