This one pours a fairly dark brown color, with a big head and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty oxidized, with earthy hops, honey, and roasted malt.
I’m semi confused on what this is supposed to be, and the overriding stale flavor is not really helping. It’s bitter, oxidized, and weirdly hoppy, with a mild funkiness, some chocolate, and stale bread.
This is light bodied, and not super drinkable, with a stale finish.
It was a real gamble, letting this one age this long. It didn’t turn out well.

Just got this one at our local Total Wine. I know it's not fresh, but as a Belgian figured it was worth a try. Pours dark, but more not opaque like a stout. Aroma is a mix of sweet and typical Belgian yeast. Taste is sweet, from the honey, and 2 years on it. Not bad, would have liked to try it fresher.

When poured in a Duvel tulip it was very dark brown and allowed no light to pass through. There was a decent light brown head that covered the entire surface while the beer was consumed and it left heavy lacing. It smelled Belgian with that yeasty, bready smell with some clove and honey peeking in every once in a while. The taste was similar with the malty sweetness showing more as it warmed. Also tasted the honey, clove and a bit of pepper. The ending had a nice surprising hop bitterness that wrapped up the experience. It was a nice chewy beer with a decent amount of carbonation that tickled the tongue and helped release all of the flavors. Really a tasty beer. I didn't have it fresh but I have no complaints.

Remarkably one of the most surprising but best beers that have been aged. You think one thing, but then are pleasantly surprised by another! A light and easy porter/stout. A must have!!!

Poured from a bomber into a tulip glass
L: Pours a deep mahogany color with thick off-white head. Mild lacing.
S: Honey and malts. Mild spiciness (cloves and nutmeg).
T/F: A nice honey sweetness at the outset with complex yeast notes. Dark fruits and spices. Very tasty flavor, and no significant aftertaste. Creamy and smooth.
O: A very nice take on a Belgian Dark Ale from Ithaca. Shame it was a limited release. Wish I'd grabbed a few more bottles to cellar.

Dark cola huge light brown head. Clear fluid. Very good lacing.
Nose is sweet and lightly bready. Hops are tight and cutting.
Taste is like a Belgian black IPA. Lots of roasted grains and char. Honey leaves a sweetness after the finish. Hops are plentiful leaving a leafiness in the back of my throat and a sandpaper dryness on my tongue. A bit of heat in the finish.
Feel is full and creamy with a crisp dryness in the swallow.
A nice brew.
