look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber color with a rocky ecru head that leaves some sticky lace around the pint glass

Smell: Clearly not a West Coast beer, as the hop aroma leans toward the earthy side, with just a hint of fruit

Taste: Toasted malt and stone fruit up front, with a growing earthy hop presence; after the swallow, the flavors are rather balanced, though restrained

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Drinkability: Not my favorite pale ale, but nothing wrong with it; it tasted a bit more like an ESB to me

Thanks, jjayjaye, for the opportunity

Wow, I can't believe I have yet to review this.

12 oz. bottle purchased at the brewery poured into a nonic.

Pours a clear light copper hue with a one finger off white head that stays for a while. Stickiness is pretty full, can't complain about how this beer looks. Mild piney hops with a caramel malt sweetness in the nose up front. A bit dirty with earth hop aromas as well. I'm not too crazy about the smell on this one. The taste begins wtih a caramel malt and then a faint citrus flavor. There also seems to be an almost apple like effect on the tongue throughout. Aftertaste is a subtle dusty evergreen. Mouthfeel is light and fluffy with a medium body, very smooth for an APA. Enjoyably low abv for the style, I'm pretty sure it's up to %5 or higher as of '08. Ithaca Beer Co. is becoming my go to brewery now, I must have at least one of their beers in my fridge at all times. Keep it up guys.

Amber pour with decent head , some lacing

Smells like a pale ale , not as floral as some other Pale Ales, but some orange and pine are present.

Tastes of Caramel, Pine, Citrus, slightly dry aftertaste, medium bodied , good consistency
Overall a good beer - It could be a good session with these as it is not overly powerful or weak. Just enough to keep you interested, nothing to go bananas over.

Thanks to armock for this one!

Pours orange-ish amber with a foamy white head that descends to a lasting bubbly cap, leaving thin lines of lacing.

The smell is floral (a bit perfumy) with hints of orange/grapefruit and pine. Mild.

The taste is floral/citric with a honey-ish and towards caramel-ish maltiness. It has a leafy, tea-like dryness with a sweet kiss in the finish.

Light to medium-bodied. Rather coating.

There's a slight harshness that slows it down, though a basic lightness that brings it up. Overall, things to mesh quite so well, but is the basic characteristics of a balanced, leaning towards hoppier APA are there. Not a bad brew, just nothing particularly special.

This beer poured a murky reddish copper with a foamy off-tan two-finger head. The smell is mostly sweet malts and some floral hop characteristics. The taste starts off with some piney hops that quickly fade into the background and let the beer finish with some sweet caramel sweetness from the malts and leaving a fairly clean palate. The mouthfeel is is fairly thin with a medium amount of carbonation and helps lead to a nice refreshing beer that doesn't sit too heavy and that I could imagine having a couple bottles of without becoming tired of it.

Deep gold with a big pour head that drops and laces.
Smells piney mostly.
Taste is slightly sweet , a bit of steeliness and a back of the tongue bitter presence througout. Hops are more grapefruit than floral....and well balanced. with the malt.
Mouthfeel was medium and the carbonation fairly high.
Pretty good drinkable pale ale....not really a favorite style, but I do enjoy one once in a while...this is worth a try.

Light and clear orange-amber color. Decent stubborn finger of foamy head. Quite clear. Leaves just a bit of lace.

Pleasant pale malt. Hoppier than most pales, quite nice, though nothing remarkable; it's good enough.

Flowery, estery *mild* hops. Dry, biscuity malt. It's very ordinary, but a pretty good value.

A nice, dry, slightly bubbly pale. Ordinary, pale as it should be, competent. A good deal overall.

A- Orange with amber tints and a quickly fading, white head.

S- Big note of piney hops mixed over some pale malt and fruity sweetness.

T- Follows the nose pretty well. A big burst of piney hops mixed in with various fruity flavors.

M- Medium feel that thins towards the finish. Smooth overall though due to pale malts.

D- An pretty decent Pale Ale. It's really nice when you can get a fresh batch of this stuff straight from the brewery; makes a big difference.

Appearance - Medium yellow. Quite hazy. Short, white, foamy head with good persistence.

Smell - Fairly light aroma. Mainly grassy and citrus hops. A little bready malt, too.

Taste - Hops clearly dominate. Seems mostly citrusy to me. Grapefruit and bitter orange. Sweet bready malt is also noticeable. This beer is on the "not so hoppy" side of the APA spectrum. I like the balance.

Mouthfeel - Medium and pretty darn smooth.

Overall - An eminently drinkable APA.

A transpicuous golden amber color on the pour, the head pythonic in size, creamy and light tan in color, as the head dissolves, the lace left behind forms a glutinous sheet to hide the glass. Lightly floral at the front sweet malt at the middle, crisp and fresh is the finish to this nose. Start is malt and sweet, the top slender in its feel, the finish delicate in its acidity, the hops delightful if a bit understated, dry as a desert aftertaste, a quite drinkable beer that could be a fine session beer for these long hot desert afternoons.

From the bottle to a pint glass
Look: golden orange, frothy white head

Smell: strong floral fragrances, honey, notes of citrus

Taste: Sweet up front, light fruits cover the palate, bitter hoppy finish, bready aftertaste

Feel: Light and crisp, watery

Drink: The lightness and frutiness makes it very drinkable, though I'm a bit put off by the watery feel.
