750ml into a Duvel tulip. Batch E!049

Pours a hazy, pale straw colored. Billowing head that reamins for the remainder of the session, but dies down into more of a soft, dense blanket of foam. Tiny bubbles can be seen around the edges of the opaque body.

Chardonnay grape must and ripe granny smith apples greet your nose with a touch of spicy yeast characteristics. A little bit of marmalade and fresh baked bread make up the malt profile of the nose. A subtle aroma of haystacks tease at the wild characteristics of this beer.

Opens with chardonnay-like flavors. Grape must, cantaloupe, and a hint of vanilla. A tingle of sourness and a hint of brett. Follows the nose to a T, but that is far from criticism.

Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A bit astringent and with a tickle from the carbonation on the tongue, with a dry finish.

A very pretty beer with great white wine like characteristics. This is more of a Saison or Beglain pale ale rather than an American Pale Wheat Ale. A beer I was very happy to try and had wanted to try for some time. I'd love to run into this one again, it did not disappoint.

L- Pours a hazy yellow with a hefty, white head. Good retention.

A- Dandelion, Rose, synthetic rubber, papaya, & pineapple. A definite funk overshadows the crack of wheat.

T- Similar to the aroma with some medicinal-astringency. It seems slightly Mossaic here, with notes of B.O. & dank grass. I also get white wine, popping up in the form of stone fruits.

F- Dry, dry, dry. There's still a creaminess about this that separates it from straight-wild fermentations & a tang that keeps playin' that funky music.

O- This is exactly what it says it is.

Imo, the bro's need to re-review. This brew is solid.

L: golden brown with a large white foamy head; pouring bottle completely releases the residual yeast that is a bit bitter
S: classic wheat beer smell with some sour notes; very pleasant and refreshing
T: some citrus, funky Brett, and pear; no singing aftertaste
F: tight carbonation with full mouthfeel that finishes clean

A golden orange toned body has a bit of murky yeast in it as I like to pour the yeast into the glass, I waste nothing. Head is a creamy, rocky off white foam that leaves a wall of lace as it very slowly fades. Nose is an even mix of yeast and hops with some fruit rinds mashed in along the way. Enters the mouth very carbonated and champagne like. Crisp and yeasty with nice soft fruit tones that lean more on the citrus side. Hops do show up slightly on the end of the palate to add a nice bit of balance. There is really nothing not to like with this beer. Mouthfeel is very accessible. This beer could easily be called sessional if it weren't 8% alcohol. A truely perfectly drinkable beer.

L: Pours hazy straw under a 3” pure white foam cap that slowly descends to a 1” thick rocky foam that produces ledges of lace.
S: citrus, lemony, funky Belgian yeast, wheat, almost a hint of rye.
T: Very lemony with some light baguette in the background and finishes with a shot of hop. Very refined, after the little hop on the finish, there are long lingering lemony biscuity flavors. Develops more flavor as it warms. Yeast driven but an excellent balance between the yeast, the fruit, the malt and the grains. Finishes bone dry.
F: Very creamy, soft carbonation, rich texture. Medium body.
O: With this beer the brewer gives a lesson in how to handle yeast.
