2014 Review:
Definitely needed to revisit this one after reading my review from 2010. Bottle tagline "The Spirit Of The Finger Lakes":

First pour shows off a golden malt colored liquid. In the snifter a hazy medium golden liquid presents itself topped with a small light white head that recedes quickly. An aggressive swirl returns a smaller white head which fades equally as quick.

Sniff showcases earthy, grassy, with slight orange peel.

First sip is of a smooth slight acidic lemon which gives way to tantalizing mild sugars covered in orange zest leaving a dry tongue and slightly sweet throat.

A very smooth, easy to drink IPA that still uses an aggressive dry earthy hop approach. The difference 4 years of beer tasting makes.

2010 Review:
Ithaca came to RI for a month. 12oz bottle best before November 2010...

A: Clear honey colored with a 1 inch white head that fades at a decent pace. Good.

S: Hmm, good name. It kind of smells like flowers. Very grassy earthy floral hop upfront with a kind of vegetable scent in the middle. Some citrus on the backend. Ok.

T: Hoppy citrus upfront with some grapefruit and orange peel mixed in the middle. Some sweet malts buried on the back. Good.

M: Good blend of carbonation and hops. Very good here.

D: Taste is a little awkward at first and hard to go down easy. Decent.

All in all, this is an ok brew. Not much special going on here. Kind of a strange blend of flavors too. Not worth hunting or being your first go to at the beer store. Many better brews in the style.

This is a wonderful hop-forward beer. Crisp, flavorful, and not sweet. Loved it.

Love the sweet aroma when bringing it up, reminds me of spring. Which we are in desperate need of in upstate New York. The hoppy taste is great. Leaves that good after taste. Friend told me I HAD to try it. Found it available in a growler. Will be getting my card stamped and filled from this.

Updates:
6/29/17 - On tap at Eamonn's in NYC. Two of them go well with the corned beef sandwich, but only if you get the hot mustard. Tom and Pete.
2-26-16 - On tap at the West End Bar and Restaurant in Hell's Kitchen, NYC. Just before seeing the hilarious "Book of Mormon" show. Flower Power is a spectacular IPA, one that I'll always get if on tap.
