Poured Flower Power into a Belgian Tulip.

A - Pours a clear dark golden with a finger and a half of creamy white head.

S - You can smell the aroma as this baby is being poured. Heavy pine and grapefruit, some apricot and orange as well.

T - Smack in the face pine needles. Mid palate getting grapefruit and hop resin. It has a touch of citrus in there too. On the aftertaste I'm getting more hops and pine.

M - Medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

O - This was my valentines day gift from the better half. Nice choice, very well done brew. Cheers!

The final brew from the Ithaca IPA variety pack. Poured into a sam adams custom glass: color is gold, slightly dense looking, head is bright white, dense, fine bubbles, presents 1/2 inch thick and lingers well, some nice lacing on the glass.

Smell is all hop, not overpowering at first, but the hop notes express themselves well as it warms: mainly citrus and big grapefruit and lemon peel, some more subtle earthy and pine notes mixed in.

Taste is very well done, nice clean malt flavors, a touch of sweetness and some light biscuit, otherwise its all hop floral, citrus and bitterness. Hop specifics are tilted towards grapefruit and lemon peel, similar to the nose the earthy flavors are subtle.

Mouthfeel is great on this brew, the touch of sweetness aids in letting some malt and hop flavors linger before the hop bittering qualities take over and dry this brew out, very dry on the tongue but sweeter flavors tend to linger on the cheeks.

Overall, a great IPA, my preference with a nice dry finish, clean malt profile and great floral, citrusy hop aroma and taste.
