I am in a meadow. The grass grows wildly, rising up past my knee, and I do not recall how I arrived here. I only know that I am looking for something. Someone?

There are flowers. Flowers everywhere. White, red, gold. The air is thick with their scent. To breathe is a heady, wonderful thing.

It's a girl, I'm seeking. In the distance, a cherry tree. She must be sitting there.

Then I lower the glass, and it's all gone.

This is a delightful beer with LOADS of hop scent, they must have just dryhopped with all the flowers they had, but it works--the malt balances it out pleasantly. Not very bitter. There's a bunch of alcohol in there but you'll be too focused on the flowers, and taking the next sip. To see if you can find her this time.

12oz bottle best before February.

A: Pours a hazy golden amber with 1/2 finger of off-white colored head, dissipating to a spotty film.

S: Huge sweet and juicy grapefruit character from hops. A slight underlying earthiness and a bit of sweetness are evident, but mostly this is big, juicy hop aroma. Really quite nice.

T/M: Medium body with moderate carbonation. A slight prickliness up front complements a light bitterness that swells over the palate throughout the sip. There is surprisingly little sweetness to this beer, and the hop character evident in the nose is throughout the beer. Finish is a lingering bitterness with only a slightly wheaty malt flavor to complement.

O: Very nice for an IPA -- lots of hop complexity and a really strong flavor. I would consider this an imperial IPA from the taste and the body of the beer, but I'm probably being fooled by the huge hop character. It's missing something to offset that huge hop character, but is not a bad beer at all. This won't become one of my favorites, but I'm really glad that I tried it. After a great aroma, the taste was a little bit of a let down, but this is definitely a fine beer.
