This one promises to be interesting. Just my 2nd or 3rd wheatwine. Poured a 750 ml bottle into an oversize wine glass.
A - Fresh squeezed orange juice. Like not from the carton. The color of a dried apricot. Pillowy off-white head that mostly dissipates after a minute or two. Decent lacing.
N - Interesting! Dried tropical fruit, like apricots, mangos, cantaloupe. The kosher fruit roll-ups we got at synagogue on Simchat Torah. Peaches too.
T - I get the remnants of juicy hops. Not much bitterness, just some of the bark-y dankness. Not really for me. Grapefruit juice.
M - Somewhat dry finish with a decent coating after letting it sit for a while. Fairly smooth.
O - A fine American wheatwine, if there is such a thing. A bit dank for my tastes, but not unenjoyable.

Had on 2-1-13. L: Pours hazy peach amber under a 2” finely bubbled white foam collar that slowly recedes while hugging the glass.
S: Fruit, citrus, lemon and light hop aromas.
T: Has a fruity sweetness that is subtle and not overdone with improving and more assertive flavors as it warms. There is an interesting blend of wheat and malt flavors in the background.
F: Rich and creamy, medium full body and medium carbonation. Very soft in the mouth.
O: This is one of those one time beers that the brewer should do again.

Bottle pour at the pre-FWIBF bottle share held at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles, CA.

Batch # E!034.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, brown sugar, and caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with wheat, brown sugar, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.
