Poured into a goblet, color is copper, head is off white, presenting about 1/2 inch thick then dissipating to a ring and fine bubbles; some lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is somewhat average for a pumpkin ale of this strength and style; muted spices and light pumpkin flesh are noted, malt is neutral and not distracting.

Taste is very pleasant, simple flavors but great balance; malt is light toast, biscuit, hints of caramel and pumpkin flesh; spices are well balanced and not overpowering, presenting as light cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, ginger.

Mouthfeel is very pleasant, no off putting flavors or spice levels. Appropriate carbonation level and hop dryness.

Overall, a very good pumpkin ale, well balanced in the spices with some pumpkin and malt presence.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, earth, and pumpkin pie spice aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, earth, and slight pumpkin pie spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable, but I am getting more earth and toast versus the expected pumpkin pie spices.

Serving type: bottle.

Pours on the darker side with a rather rustic amber color and a nose of pumpkin pie.

Smooth and clean on the start with a big rush of pumpkin flavor. A stark pumpkin taste dominates with tones of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Mouth feel is solid with a kind of brown sugary quality. A bit on the sweeter side for the style.

Overall, a pretty solid example of the style. I really liked the genuine pumpkin taste and found the spices to not be overpowering.
