L: Hazy golden orange with a thick creamy white head. Excellent retention with sheets of lacing.

S: Caramel, honey, pineapple, candied orange peel.

T: Candied orange and tart pineapple with a big malt presence. Lots of caramel, toast, and honey. Hints of pine on the back end. It's pretty close to cloying.

F: Thick, rich, and creamy, with a smooth, even carbonation.

O: No idea of the freshness of this bottle. It's probably old. I'll update my review if I get a fresher bottle. For now, though, it's a little too malty.

The label leaves a bit to be desired as there is no description, IBU or ABV. However, as a fan of double IPAs I couldn't pass down the opportunity to try it when I saw it in the Craft Your Own section of Wegmans. The #1 most important category for me with beer is the taste, and #2 is the feel. This beer tastes delicious and goes down easy. Definitely fulfills my craving for strong hops and a smooth finish. Will buy again!

So delicious. Unctuous yet light, great double IPA.

From the 12 fl. oz, bottle with a May 23, 2017 date stamped on the neck. Sampled on June 18, 2017.

Big aroma of pine and citrus but also a kind of woody, herbal quality. Breaded malts below that.

The body feels smooth and on the heavier side yet also juicy.

The taste is not as vibrant as the aroma suggested it would be with more of a tobacco malt woodiness seeping in and the citrus hops are more in the background.

The appearance had a hazy golden somewhat of a yellowish colored body with a half a finger white foamy head that quickly dies into the body, light carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace, not any lacing is seen The smell has a fragrant citrus fruits with a nice backing by the malts, though a mild bitterness enters in as it warms. The taste started off bitter but a nice dose of sweet maltiness comes in after some warming up, bitter citrusy aftertaste, dry finish. The palate had a light to medium, fairly sessionable, carbonation is a bit smoother than most DIPA’s, but I’ll take it, no worries. Overall, I say this is a good DIPA that I would have again.

12 oz bottle from Candia Rd
Slightly hazy deep golden color with a good sized long lasting frothy white head. Citrus pine and bread with bits of toffee and butterscotch bitterness. I was expecting more from this beer. Lingering bitter resinous aspirin alcohol and butter.

Picked-up a single as part of a mixed pack @ Kappy's in Norwell. It has the following code on the bottle neck:
CR16001-003
160127
Is this beer over a year old, or do I need to put this in the trunk of a DeLorean, and have Bletchley Park decode the bottled-on date? No winners here, taste is blah.
