A: The beer is golden yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation along with some fine particles floating in suspension. It poured with a half finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops and Belgian yeast are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste offers balanced flavors of Belgian yeast and citrusy hops, the latter of which contributes a light amount of bitterness. Hints of peppery spices are also noticeable in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a really nice hybrid of a West Coast IPA and a Belgian IPA as both the citrusy hops and Belgian yeast and prominently featured in the smell and taste. It's definitely a lot bolder compared to other Belgian IPAs and might have enough citrusy flavors to please a hophead looking for a change of pace.

I purchased this at Brass Rail in Campbelltown enjoyed chilled from the bottle in a teku.

The color is sunny golden with moderate hazed look with thick white head of 2 fingers with fine bead and scattered lace pattern. The smell is great - lots of citrus in the hop scents with mild fruity tropical ester from the belgian trappist yeast with mild melon and grapefruit combo. The feel is nice -moderately bitter with spice texture of yeast with light sweetness and mild alcohol, finish is on the dry side with low astringency.

The taste is fruity with a more tangy than bitter flavor up front. The taste has a light vinous edge with slight tropical aspect and mild herbal element with a slight hint of yeast adding some earthy and peppery elements to augment the taste of the hops with a light toasted malt background. Overall this is a pretty outstanding mix of Belgian yeast with American IPA hop flavor really exceeded my expectations.

Bottle purchased at Nathaniel Square Corner Store in Rochester, NY.

Pours golden yellow, pretty hazy, with a 2 inch fluffy head, and a small amount of lacing down the glass.

Aromas include citrus hops, spices, and Belgian yeast.

Very similar taste. A bit more American-style than most Belgian IPAs I've had- due to hop citrus hop forward it is. There is the typical candi Belgian sweetness, along with spicy yeast flavors.

Medium bodied, pretty crisp, very drinkable.

A winner from Ithaca's new box, much better than Obscurite or Laissez Faire.

12 ouncer, with an unnotched best before notching area on the side of the label.

Pours hazed darker tangerine, quickly departing off white head, leaving delicate film, collar and bits of low lace.

Sweet fruit on the nose.

Citric hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit peels, lime, w/ nutty Belgian yeast adding tho the mix. Worthy BIPA.

Pours a honey golden hue, bright white head very similar appearance to the Hopbloem...white head, fine speckled lacing. Aroma spicy Belgian yeast, tropical fruit, black pepper, citrus fruits on the nose. Flavor has hints of tropical fruit with Belgian yeast spice and citrus fruit the two aspects contrast quite a bit too much. Mouthfeel of mildly harsh bitterness from the hops combined with the peppery spicy yeast notes that leave a lacquer on the palate. Overall, a nice Belgian IPA, but sadly the style just might not be my favorite.

I think I like this one better than the Hopbloem.

Nice strong grapefruit nose that kind of fades after a bit. Flavor is nice. Mix of earthy and hop spices. A little too "muddy" just a bit. But I like this one. Smooth feel and pretty easy to drink. Definitely suggested.

A: Hazy, dense, dirty orange coloring with a strong inner presence of carbonation. The head is dirty cream colored with a one inch frothy head. Some particulate matter inside with a full lace band around the glass.

S: Aroma of semi-tart tangerine, grapefruit with a wet citrus flower hopping. White toast, light dry lemon with some pine.

T: The flavor is tart citrus, musky lemon, dry flowery grapefruit with a dry breadiness. Hop bitterness is moderate, dry with an assertive finish. Dry yeastiness, bread, floral undertones with some semi-dry tropical fruitiness sneaking in.

M: a strong carbonation factor with some dry citrus hop bitterness parching the tongue with a lingering bitterness. Lightly oily medium bodied, citric-yeasty warmth follows.

O: Overall a fairly assertive dry hopped ipa with a dry, yeasty flair. Lingering bitterness, solid level of hops with a mid-range complexity.

A - Gave me a 1/2 inch of head that pulls back to a lace ring. Hazy yellow soup with some chunk floaties in the glass.
S - Not really bitter more citrus hops with a touch of fruity Belgium yeast. Actually smells quite sweet.
T - Comes off way bitter than I expected like straight herbal and dry which lingers with yeasty goodness. Mildly sweet and sort of balanced.
M - Light to medium on par with the style.

Overall I sipped this again after some cherries and its quite good but still very bitter. Most herbal beer I had from this collection.

Served on tap at Morris Tap and Grill as part of Ithaca top takeover. Late spring 2014.

Pours a quite hazy light gold, with heavy foam. Fragrant pine floral hops. Oily hoppy taste. Base is very light, and then the bittering pokes through. Very flavorful and aromatic. Good use of hops.
