I think I like this one better than the Hopbloem.

Nice strong grapefruit nose that kind of fades after a bit. Flavor is nice. Mix of earthy and hop spices. A little too "muddy" just a bit. But I like this one. Smooth feel and pretty easy to drink. Definitely suggested.

A: Hazy, dense, dirty orange coloring with a strong inner presence of carbonation. The head is dirty cream colored with a one inch frothy head. Some particulate matter inside with a full lace band around the glass.

S: Aroma of semi-tart tangerine, grapefruit with a wet citrus flower hopping. White toast, light dry lemon with some pine.

T: The flavor is tart citrus, musky lemon, dry flowery grapefruit with a dry breadiness. Hop bitterness is moderate, dry with an assertive finish. Dry yeastiness, bread, floral undertones with some semi-dry tropical fruitiness sneaking in.

M: a strong carbonation factor with some dry citrus hop bitterness parching the tongue with a lingering bitterness. Lightly oily medium bodied, citric-yeasty warmth follows.

O: Overall a fairly assertive dry hopped ipa with a dry, yeasty flair. Lingering bitterness, solid level of hops with a mid-range complexity.

Suspended yeast and bubbles flurry up this steely gold/amber beer. The head is fat and lumpy like the lunar surface. Retention is awesome, lacing supreme.

Big whiff of dusty church yeast, dry flowery hops, cardamom pods, pale bready grain, and fresh linens. Slight lemony citrus note follows with smiling hop bitterness and a kiss of saison stylings.

Malts have a little papery oxidation and the hops are floral and somewhat aging. Trappist yeast takeover, as there's a lot of crushed-up pill dryness, huskiness, and affirmed pith. Tastes like a slightly-amped up BPA with less fruitiness and more sandiness. Not really impressive, after tasting and enjoying the Hopbloem.

Good choppy carbonation creates a liquid bite. Medium body beer has greasy smoothness and swallows like no chore. Booze is radioing in, a bit.

Came from the same case, so what's the deal? Tastes like it crested a week ago. Maybe it's supposed to.

12 ouncer, with an unnotched best before notching area on the side of the label.

Pours hazed darker tangerine, quickly departing off white head, leaving delicate film, collar and bits of low lace.

Sweet fruit on the nose.

Citric hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit peels, lime, w/ nutty Belgian yeast adding tho the mix. Worthy BIPA.

A: The beer is golden yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation along with some fine particles floating in suspension. It poured with a half finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops and Belgian yeast are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste offers balanced flavors of Belgian yeast and citrusy hops, the latter of which contributes a light amount of bitterness. Hints of peppery spices are also noticeable in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a really nice hybrid of a West Coast IPA and a Belgian IPA as both the citrusy hops and Belgian yeast and prominently featured in the smell and taste. It's definitely a lot bolder compared to other Belgian IPAs and might have enough citrusy flavors to please a hophead looking for a change of pace.

Serving Type - Bottle

Appearance - Golden tan/copper , hazy and cloudy, unfiltered with a 1/2 inch creamy head, good lacing.

Smell - Sweet citric fruits, orange, grapefruit, lemon, Belgium yeasts and spices, and slight malts in the backbone.

Taste - Starts out with light yeasty sugar notes, mixed with some light floral fruits. Plenty of lemon, orange and grapes. Light, mildly sweet and bitter, with a fain amount of spices. Malts add a caramel backbone that works well with the bitter/sour notes.

Mouthfeel - Floral hops and sweet yeasts coat the tongue. Palate gets more of the same, with some malts and spices at the finish. Aftertaste is light, floral and a little sour.

Overall - A solid beer. Rather safe and standard really. Flavors and mild and are tasty, just a little to toned down to make this special. Still, worth a drink for fans of the style but noting world class.
