12oz bottle, generously given to me by Paul Graham at the GABF last fall of 2013; poured into a Hill Farmstead Willi Becher glass today, 1/15/2014.

Pours a pale brown body; resembles apple cider. Comes with a very, very effervescent light tan head that explodes in size as it pours- at least 4 finger's worth at one point and takes a couple minutes to settle. Leaves a lot of lacing as it goes down, and as I drink the beer out of the glass. The colour of the body doesn't resemble a typical blonde.

Was able to smell this as I opened this bottle; it smells delicious- tart green apples much like apple cider, slight vinegar, some oak, grape skin and other chardonnay-like notes. Smells incredibly refreshing and would be perfect on a summer night rather than a winter night like this.

Flavourwise is not quite as interesting as the nose. It's far more chardonnay-heavy in flavour, with a nice strong grape skin flavour and a decent bit of oak especially on the back end. No hints of apple cider tartness or acidity. Really tastes a lot like a glass of chardonnay, except its certainly not as boozy.

Medium to thin bodied, well carbonated, creamy. Body is just about right where it needs to be for a beer like this. Aftertaste is a bit of an earthy oakiness overshadowed by grape skin.

Very tasty blonde that takes on a lot of the underlying barrel, making it taste very much like a more complex white wine but without the booziness or expense required. Very interesting beer on the part of Central Waters that is certainly done quite well.
