22oz bottle, no date or ABV. Pours dark brown with a medium sized light khaki head. Smells of vanilla, bourbon, cocoa, and caramel. The taste follows with vanilla, bourbon, cocoa, caramel and roasted malt with a hint of lactose, peanut, and dark fruit. Average intensity. Medium sweetness, bitterness, and dryness. Below average body and carbonation but fairly drinkable. Overall, nothing too remarkable stands out here. It has its classic rye profile from CW stouts and solid flavors, but could use even more vanilla and intensity.

22oz bottle poured into a tulip glass shows a mostly headless dull looking dark brownish boost that allows a red tinted light through at the edge. A more aggressive second pour causes a 1/2in cocoa powder colored head if variable sized bubbles, but no lacing either way.

Aroma is vanilla and bourbon forward with a touch of leather and ash.

Flavor matches with added hints of cocoa.

Mouthfeel is a little on the thinner side, but still a fuller leaning medium that finishes clean. A booze warmth is a good closing feel in the back of the throat and chest.

Overall another well done bourbon barrel aged stout from CW.

Pours an effervescent hazel-hued mahogany with one finger of tan head. A modicum of head retention & less lacing

S: Dark fruit, a little vanilla & chocolate, a kiss of Bourbon

T: Dark fruit ( figs & raisins ) , a little woody hop, some booze, Dark chocolate, barrel, vanilla & little bit of coffee as this warms, along with booze. Finishes with vanilla, barrel dryness. dark fruit & whisper of coffee

MF: Firm carbonation, medium body, smooths out as it warms

This badboy delivers flavor, not much to find fault with, does take some sipping, not an easy drinker by any means, but very worth-while

Not the darkest stout but a nice tan head sits atop for a good presentation. Smells like it is a bit on the boozy side. Notes of bourbon, alcohol, and vanilla. The flavor is not very complex. The bourbon and vanilla dominates the flavor and not much else. Alcohol flavor and heat in the finish. Bigger body and wonderfully carbonated. Nice soft and full feel. I feel that this beer could benefit to a little bottle aging to calm the alcohol heat down a bit.

Pours thin dark mahogany color with thin tan head. Smell has vanilla ,oak, chocolate roast wood and Barrel. Taste very good vanilla is integrated well with notes of creamy chocolate and nice roasted mellow malts. A creamy mouth feel with minimal bourbon nice smooth taste. Nicely done and affordable.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Beer Bazaar on October 3, 2018. Imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla beans. Thick and rich yet very drinkable.
