This beer pours a dark brown almost black like hue with a one fingered head that dissipates quickly but does still leave a bit of lacing. The scent is a bit muted but there is still hints of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is much more pronounced however with a strong mixture of coffee and chocolate. There is very little bitterness and it finishes with a nice smoothness. This was a very good Coffee Stout.

Pours a very dark brown color with a moderate light brown foam head that quickly recedes. Almost no lacing left on glass.

Aroma as strong of coffee as I've ever seen in a beer, and I like coffee stouts. Definitely smells more like coffee than beer, with just a slight hint of alcohol. Really nothing else here going on, which normally bothers me, but they nail this one right on the head.

Taste is once again dominated by coffee. A bit thin for an 8% stout. Evolves a bit as it warms, revealing some roasted malt and very subtle roasted chocolate notes.

Medium bodied. As mentioned, surprisingly thin for the style and ABV. That quality, however, actually makes it a very fun and dangerous beer to drink.

Overall, an excellent coffee stout but don't expect anything complex. Very straightforward, a great bet if you like coffee or coffee stouts.

Draught pour at Pounders into a shaker pint. Very nice roasty nose lead to a delicious coffee-forward but not overwhelming taste. If this was on my local distro I'd add it happily to my breakfast beer list. Would happily revisit!

Well. My fovorite beer style and it is Friday morning after an long, stupid week of my Mon - Thu 4 10 hour days 1:00 - 11:30 PM shift yes that's beyond stupid but hey it's an job and this is an beer ...

But no, reminds me very much of this years canned WnB failure, dumbed down for the amateurs coffee stout. Lacking in aroma, flavor but most importantly texture, or mouthfeel I guess if that makes any sense.

Standard coffee, chocolate hooray I've seen this before. Missing that certain something, that makes a beer great. Grainy I suppose is what I'm looking for. Yea, grainy. As in too much grain, not enough speciality.

When will this year's Breakfast Stout be out? When will Saucony Creek make their fantastic, local best in class coffee beer again? Hopefully soon ...

A - Pours dark brown with a one finger tan head. Light amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate.

T - The taste is cold brew coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate, vanilla and some light light nuttiness in the finish.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice dry finish.

O - This is a great cofffee stout. The flavors are right on par with a cold brewed coffee. Perfect breakfast beer.

This was poured into a nonic. The appearance was a dark brown color close to black with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. No lacing. The smell took rich dark and milk chocolate to boot at roasty and sweet coffee bean (somewhat espresso-like). Light cake underneath. The flavor takes the previously mentioned flavors to combine nicely. Lingering chocolate cake-like to cocoa rich aftertaste. Quick sweet wet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation rides nicely along - slight stickiness, but acceptable. Overall, really nicely done American stout with coffee and chocolate to boot

L- pours a dark brown with a one-finger, tan head that dissapates quickly. Just a little carbonation.
S- Brilliant coffee ant toffee malt smell. Also milk chocolate.
T- wonderful medium coffee bitterness that really stays around. Sweet carmel malts and milk chocolate. Slight vanilla mid way and nuttiness to end.
F- Thinner to medium mouthfeel in which it smoothly runs down the shoot. No hint of alcohol.
O- Amazing coffee stout especially $5 a bomber!

A: The beer is very dark brown in color (black when viewed from afar). It poured with a short light tan head that died down, leaving a thin collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of cold brew coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by moderate to strong flavors of cold brew coffee and dark roasted coffee beans. There are subtle hints of chocolate from the underlying stout.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout has intense aromas and flavors of coffee—it would make for a good breakfast beer.
