This one snuck up on me - unexpectedly pleasant coffee flavor blasts you, and stays through the finish. I really found this one to be a refreshing, pleasant drink that is truly a good breakfast-style stout.

Central Waters Brewhouse Coffee Stout, 8.2% ABV, 30 IBU. Pours thin and black, with 4+ finger tan head, slight lacing. Nose is malt, coffee, and chocolate. Taste follows, some sweetness, and without the coffee bitterness typically found in coffee stouts. Yes, you can have coffee taste without bitterness! Mouthfeel is just OK due to thinness, but overall one of the best stouts I've had, and I have tried a lot. Would love to have a BBA version of this - may try mixing this with a Cassian Sunset.

Have had it bottled but this is the first time having it on draft.
The appearance is an opaque reddish-brown. It's dark but not as much as I would expect an 8.2% beer to be.
Big coffee aromas obviously are upfront along with chocolate, malty sweetness, and some fruitiness from the coffee.
Tastes are coffee, chocolate and some malt sweetness.
The mouthfeel is a bit thin for a beer of this strength but it does linger well.
Overall another really good stout from CW.
