Collaboration with Map Room's Brendan Surprenant and Paddy Long's Pat Berger.
Served in a pint glass at the Map Room, review from written notes.

Straw gold bleeds into orange, a crown of foam decorates the rim of the glass, lightly hazed but ultimately has some clarity to it.

Delicate aromas, lightly nutty malts and a clean lager yeast.

Soft smooth feel, clean with a lightly bitter, grassy finish. Nutty malt and dried fruit, unsweetened dates. Exceptionally smooth and drinkable. Light to moderate hop presence seems to build over time. Additional yeast lends a pleasant smoothness and exceptional drinkability. Really enjoyed this locally collaborative Zwickelbier, probably a first in that sense.

(Served in a stemmed goblet)

A- This beer pours a slightly dense honey colored body with a sticky snow white head and a very gentle carbonation.

S- The aroma of pils malt blends with a slight buttery note and a green hops hint finishes each sniff.

T- The buttery note blends with a honey malt sweetness that starts to take on some fresh pils malt flavor and a slight sweetness lingers. There is a clove Phenolic hint in the finish and a green woody bitterness after taste as grows as the beer opens.

M- This beer has a medium-light mouthfeel with no alcohol heat noticed.

O- This beer has a nice fresh pils malt taste but the sweetness and buttery flavor is a bit to strong. The hop bitterness helps to cut the sweetness a bit but not enough. I like this style but it is very hard to find and great examples are even harder to find. It might have had a bit to much age on it, but regardless the buttery flavor and sweetness were still a bit too much.
