Rohrbach Gregory Street Lager is a very clear, deep amber beer with a dense, cream colored head that leaves thick sheets of lacing on the glass. It has a sweet caramel aroma. It smells like candy with a little herbal aspect. It's medium bodied and smooth. The finish is a little watery. It has a hint of sweetness, but not as much as the aroma would suggest. It tastes a little nutty, possibly chocolatey. Caramel lurks throughout the taste. Leafy green bitterness jumps out just before the finish and lingers for a while. It's kind of medicinal overall. I can't say I've ever had a beer quite this style. I don't even know what I'd call this. It's pretty interesting.

A: dark honey in color with the typical rohrbach low level of lacing and head. It is quite clear though.
S: no bouquet to speak of.
T: dry, crisp, and well balanced. raw grain, bread, and a hefty dose of piney hops.
M: crisp and light, with lower carbonation.
D: a great hoppy amber lager, and well worth a spot on your sample paddle.
