Stopped here on my way into Rochester. Pretty packed for a midweek afternoon setting. Plenty of parking, inside looks like a ski chalet with knotty pine siding and fixtures. Big bar, booths, tables available. I think there was food available but I'm not sure. Flights available. Great service. Very friendly regulars as well, they ended up buying my flight for me. It doesn't get much better than that.

I wish I went to the beer hall instead because this was more of a restaurant than a brewery. They had about 14 house beers. They had a really good lemon cucumber sour but nothing else stuck out. I will say they had a nice variety of different styles and a large food menu to go with it. I did enjoy that they had house beers that they only keep in house. The waitress was very kind and the food was excellent. I had homemade stuffed perogies with a flight of beer. I would recommend this place to go for a nice bite to eat rather than a beer referral.

Best German restaurant in Rochester, which unfortunately goes under the radar when one searches Google for German food because Rohrbach is first-and-foremost a brewery. I've eaten here twice as an omnivore and once as a vegetarian. Obviously this isn't the place for vegetarians, but the service was accommodating and I had some pretty good vegetables and potato salad.
The vibe is tricky. The inside resembles an old-timey tavern but functions as a sit-down restaurant, and it's on a small highway that feels rural but is also very close to the city.

Stopped in here to give the food a try for the most part. The beers were something I was looking forward to also. The vibe is pretty cool, nice bar and dining area. The selection was decent, The food was awesome. and the service wasn't bad either. Worth checking out.

I stopped in here last week while on vacation with the family. Pub to the right as you walk in with maybe a dozen tables and some seats at the bar, the restaurant to the left where we sat had an equal number of tables. I think they had 15 beers on tap that night, most were average at best. The food was decent for pub grub. Our waitress was fairly attentive. Seemed a bit pricey in my mind for the quality, food and beer wise. There are better places in the area I'd surely hit before going back here. YMMV.

This is just down the road from me. Their beers are always delicious, their scotch ale is one of the best around. Food is also tasty! Can sit inside or outdoors under a canopy tent. Staff has always been friendly every time I go there. One time I was there, we believe we got food poisoning from their beer cheese (the best pretzel dip ever!) as everyone I was with ended up getting sick, so I dubbed down my quality rating a bit. We were just unlucky though, I haven't had anything like that happen since. I recommend this place for sure.

This was stop #1 for my wife and I on a 9-day East Coast pub crawl and a family visit. The brewery is located slightly away from the busy Rochester area and any other retail business, and the building has a rustic style on the exterior, as does the pub area on the inside. The dining room is not quite so, but the vibe of the place is very good.
There were 10 beers on tap, so we ordered two 4-glass sampler flights to go with our meal. All of the beers were brewed to style and were tasty with one possible exception – the Old Ale. We thought the alcohol was a little too hot in this one. Most of the beers exceeded the characteristics for their style and were rated at a B or a B minus in our grading system. The most notable beer was the Citra Double IPA, but that hop variety is also our favorite so there is some bias there.
The restaurant has a German ownership background, and there are a few German dishes on the menu, so we each ordered one of those entrees. The food was excellent. The place was busy, so it appears that many other patrons agree with our assessment.
This area was the overnight location on our way to the East Coast to visit our family, and on previous trips we’ve stayed in the Albany and Syracuse areas without finding a brewery as good as this one. So on future trips, this is where we’ll be spending the night, and we’ll definitely revisit this brewery.
