Chilling out with the hipsters at the Observatory in SanTana, CA and just doin' in right well.

As far as an English beverage goes, Leslie Howard this is not. No, Raul would not fly over the Bay of Biscay, disguising himself as Winston Churchill, sipping on one of these thangs as the plane goes down in flames. At the end of the day, though, it is palatable and tasty enough to have another. It's not Kate Beckinsale "tasty and palatable," but I think you feel me, my children.

Served on tap into a 500 ml pint glass at the local pub.

Appearance - light copper colored beer with a nice 1 finger thick creamy head, with enough density that it seemingly has gravitational pull of all objects towards it. Beer is hazy just after pouring but after resting becomes transparent. While the head lasted for an eternity, the head itself was less than 1 whole finger.

Smell - Not a lot, some sweet grain smells, barely detectable malts and completely invisible hops. Not bad just not a whole lot there either.

Taste - Well given the nose there's definitely some flavor in comparison, light corn flavors and tastes a bit watery for my liking especially given how thick and rich this looks.

Mouthfeel - Fairly rich and creamy but almost too much given the absence of big flavors, it's almost a sense of being creamy and heavy just because. Mild carbonation, but isn't too noticeable given the heavier nature of this beer.

Overall - Enjoyable, just not as good as I remembered, and definitely not as good as it looks. Still wouldn't turn it down if offered one.

The most unique aspects of this brew are its aroma and flavor. The nose is extremely minerally; lots of metallic overtones that look over the biscuity malt aromas. Slightly perfumey; floral with a strong herbal scent near the end. Taste is very sharp, musty, maybe some corn adjuncts, biscuity, minerally and very chewy. Almost lightly skunky like a bottle thats been light struck, except that this was poured from a can. Extremely creamy mouthfeel; almost feels like a nitro poured draft beer. Very different from the American ales I am used to, and one that I would drink again.
