330ml bottle served into an Snifter glass.Enjoyed on may´11.
Light pale straw in color.Cloudy but transparent to the light.Rocky white snow crown,thick & lasting wide lacing rings.Mildy floral & perfumed hoppy aroma.Fruity mouthfeel,spicy hints too.Smooth & very kind bitterness on the aftertaste.Outstanding drinkability.ABV well hidden gives a full but very refreshing body.Very well balanced flavors.Among many others Belgian Strong Ales this is an essential one.

This is a nice balanced blond. Nowadays brewed by Alken-Maes. Postel Blond is also brewed by Alken-Maes. It looks like there are parallels.

L: the head is disappointing; I have never seen so many big bubbles; a fluffy head thus, though my glass was really clean.
S: nice, hops, flowers;
T: a nice balance of the hops and the sweetness; alcohol is mentionable; a bit methylated spirit;
O: a littlelittlelittle bit to sweet for my taste, but nevertheless this beer is okay!

One of the first Belgian beers I ever had. It poured into a glass and it gave off this yellowish color that had the slightest shade of green it seemed. It was a little odd to me... The aroma was sweet mixed with alcohol. The amount of flakes floating around in the glass was quite a lot. The bubbles kept them a float too. It looked as if they were dancing in the glass. This beer wasn't too bad and I would surely try it again.

This is a blond beer how i like blonds. Bought this beer a month ago when i was in Gent at the Hopduvel, a great beershop. Today is sunday and i decided to start the drinking day with this blond.

Poured in my Struise brouwers glass this beer looks very good. I big big white creamy head and a a blond/yellow fluid with lots of carbonation. After a few minutes the head is about one centimeter big.

The smell is average, good and soft malt taste. I enjoy this one and recommend this if you like blond beers.

Pours a slightly cloudy pale golden colour with enormous (yeah, it's Belgian) white head, large bubbles but produces large frothed-up egg-white-style foam on the top, sinks unevenly. Leaves some nice specks of lacing. Yeah, nice Belgian pale ale appearance, would like less head though.

Nose is very Belgian. Lots of green character with a slightly sour spice to it. Hints of green peppercorn and capsicum and a slight pickle brine note. A pleasant sweetness lingers behind though, slight glazed character with light tropical fruit. Quite nice but standard Belgian pale ale nose.

Ooh, oddly fruity on the palate. Sweet and strong but with a large fruit flavour on the mid. Distinct cherry notes with some apricot and orange peel as well, but yeah, mis-to-late it's a rich, sweet, glacé character all over it. Maraschino cherry and a slight red grape skin note as well. Unexpected. A lot sweeter than I'd thought but still a nice dry Belgian finish, lacking in spice but not venturing into oversweet territory, thankfully. Pleasant, sweet and rich.

Feel is a bit sizzly with carbonation coming through, dry on the back but a nice thick body. An interesting one. Texture is reminiscent of a good brut champagne.

Not a session beer, but pleasant for tasting. Nice flavours and good balance with a nice clean, dry finish.

A: Light honey colour with bubbles and calm head.

S: Various fruits with signification smell of alcohol. Mango and orange.

T: Spice with fruits. Alcoholic element is lost.

M: Medium body, well carbonated, refreshing.

D: One of the good Belgium beer I recommend in hot summer.

Pours a pale golden color, with a nice layer of thick froth. On the nose there are bready yeasty notes, a piney, grassy hop aroma not unlike kindling, and possibly a touch of pineapple. Flavor is thin and dry with a slightly bitter finish. Definitely hoppier than your average Belgian beer, but I tend not to like the grassiness that comes from a lot of continental European hops.
