March 2011: Cask at the Lord Moon of the Mall, London. ABV is 4.5%. Black colour, moderate creamy tan head. Moderate aroma, notes of dark chocolate and mild coffee. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately roasty with notes of coffee and dark chocolate, medium dry. Nice one.

Dark brown with a ruby tinge. Can't see through it its so dark. Topped with a huge whopping 5 fingers of foamy thick beige head.
Chocolate, berries, cocoa powder. Rich and chocolaty.
Chocolaty and very much like cocoa, but not bitter or overly sweet. A hint of bitterness on the end.
Moderate body, but it feels thick and rich. Foamy carbonation. Clean finish.
Very smooth, and rich in taste for 5% ABV. Found and drank in Bangkok, July 27th, 2015.

Looks perfect for a stout, totally black, couldn't even see my kitchen light through the glass. The head though wasn't so good so I can't say it was totally perfect.
As for smell and taste it is unfortunately a little generic, though certainly not bad. It would be hard to separate the flavour from other stouts on the market, though it is certainly up at the good end with no off flavours or bizarre metallic overtone. It is smooth in the mouth, though a little thinner than stronger stouts.
Overall it is a good stout. Seems like a nice entry level for people moving on from commercial stouts to the higher quality real ale and craft ale brands.
