From the older bottle, it pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a small head. Smells like a stout - roast malt and chocolate. Taste follows the nose - roasted malt and some dark chocolate. Yum!

Poured from the 22 oz. bomber into a Victory Donnybrook Stout nonick

a; Opaque black with a hint of clear ruby highlight at the bottom when seen through light. Inch and a half thick tan head receded to thick surface foam and dense lacing.

s: Chocolate and coffee

t; Black coffee and bitter dark chocolate. Slightly bitter to dry finish smooths out later.

m: Light to medium, low to medium carbonation tingle.

o; An ok stout, although a bit light in the mouthfeel dept. lingering bitterness detracts somewhat at first, but it smooths out and is easy drinking enough otherwise.

Pours a dark brown, settles in black, one finger head is a nice dark beige which slowly lightens as the head recedes, leaves plenty of lacing down the sides of glass.

Smells of malts, and chocolate. Smells like a stout, best I can say here.

This is one smooth brew. Malt forward which quickly slides into subtle chocolate for the rest of the finish. This has to be the best stout I've ever had. Granted that's not many, but I think I'll definitely start looking at more in the coming months.

Would rate this at medium body, leaning a bit toward thick. Sticks around for awhile after a swallow.

Small, beige head but leaves a combination of spots and ring lace. Near black color. No light passes through.

Dark chocolate cake and black coffee smell. Mild alcohol in the background.

Quite bland initially. The baker's chocolate flavor only shows up in the swallow. Compounding this effect is the the very thin body and elevated carbonation. The aftertaste is quite good and lingers a decent amount of time. The flavor is dry with a bit of burnt toast. Yep, burnt toast and baker's chocolate pretty much sums this beer up.

Perfect beer for St. Patrick's Day!

A - Back pour with an active brown foam that settled fast. Looks very thin moving around the glass.

S - Dry malt and a bit of lactose in the aroma. Some notes of cocoa powder.

T - Taste is on point! Some roasted malt flavor, a bit of sweetness, and finishes with a dry bite.

M - Great sessional stout that has a dry finish and no carbonation. Easy to pair this with any pub fare.

O - Have this with your corned beef anytime during the year. I found this to be a great representation of the style, and one I'd happily go back to.
