Got this from the LCBO this past summer

From a 473ml can into a pint glass

APPEARANCE: A hazy pour yields a one finger, medium looking, creamy white head with excellent retention. Cloudy gamboge orange with no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a good wisp and leaves lots of clingy lacing down the glass. A faint wisp remains with lots of good lacing as the glass empties. Good looking.

SMELL: Melon aromas, honeydew, watermelon, caramel and toffee aromas on the nose, along with some cantaloupe and tangerine. Bold enough.

TASTE: Melon, honeydew and cantaloupe up front. Notes of caramel at the swallow, with a bold finish of honeydew melon, caramel, cantaloupe, watermelon and notes of piney bitterness lingers on the palate.

PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a bit dry on the palate. Some bitterness lingers.

OVERALL: This is alright. Not quite the tropical fruit bomb that this style is known for, but okay in its own right. Bold and flavorful enough, but not quite in tune with the music this style is so well known for.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a nice hazy orange with white head. Nose is tropical fruit, cream, and a bit of citrus peel. Really nice. Taste is slightly bitter upfront. Nice resin, citrus peel, mango, leather, funk. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and dry. Overall, a really nice beer.

Pours hazy orange - a bit darker shade than usual. Frothy, giant head lasts the whole glass, coating it with foam chunks. Citrus, apricot, white pepper in the nose. Tangerine and green apple hop notes along with the aforementioned citrus in the first sip. Solid grainy malts keep everything balanced. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with creamy carbonation. Medium bitterness and edges of lingering malt sweetness in the long finish.

An interesting IPA. Unique hop profile. Worth a try if you like hazy NE IPAs.

Pours hazy golden-orange with a medium white head. Little lacing during drinking. Aroma is fairly mild for a NEIPA but definitely some hoppy citrus & grassiness. I notice also perhaps some caramel? Then on the taste I see I did not image the caramel. Yes, there's a decent bit of juicy citrus but also a blend of sweet/sour malt, toffee & caramel. The taste sits in the background somewhat but is definitely there. Perhaps explains the confused part of the name. Actually makes it seem like this beer has just a tough of Muskoka Detour ingredients in it. Enjoyable, I would definitely have again, but at the same time I'm not likely to make this a mainstay.

Review from notes. 473ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.50 CDN.

Appearance - super hazy and turbid orange and yellow beer with two plus fingers of dense, fluffy head. Zero visibility through the beer.

Smell - Passionfruit and orange predominantly with hints of lemon. Certainly tropical.

Taste - Fairly juicy and tropical with passionfruit and orange leading the way once again. Mango and lemon are incorporated here as well.

Mouthfeel - smooth and juicy, slightly dry finish and easy drinking medium-light body. Carbonation is appropriate.

Overall - Really solid stuff and easy to drink. Not sure you'd want to line up a six pack of these, but a couple at a time are fantastic. Really pleasantly surprised.
