First brewed in1996, our flagship Muskoka Cream Ale has since become a signature beer of the Muskoka region. Unmistakable with its rich amber colour and inviting floral tones, this laid-back English pub-style ale is smooth and easy-going. With a Cascade hoppiness and fuller body of flavour, this gold-medal winning Canadian Cream Ale is the quintessential taste of cottage country. Raise a glass.

Last can from the OCB Discovery Pack #3.
Pours clear and amber in colour, covered completely by a thin off-white head. Retention is not too good, fading quickly to a ring around the glass. No lacing.
On the nose: caramel malt, yeast, bread, bit of citrusy hops. Not too shabby.
Caramel malt, some butteriness, nice hop profile. No complexity, just a pleasant clean and fresh taste. Decently balanced. The finish is slightly dry and quite wheaty. A little more watery than I'd like.
The mouthfeel is good and I'd rate it 4.0 if it weren't a cream ale. Good feel for a beer, but too thin as a cream ale. Solid medium body and moderate carbonation.
This is a drinkable beer, no troubles here. I don't know how much this comes off as a cream ale. It's more like a pretty decent pale ale leaning towards being a cream ale, though it would probably be quite nice on nitro-tap. I'd be happy to find this on tap somewhere. Quite similar to the other OCB offerings, fairly well-brewed but lacking in character. Nothing wrong with it, just pretty uninteresting. Hopefully these beers converted some Molson, Labatt and Sleeman fans away from macro swill and onto some fresh, local, decently made brews like these. All were better than their big-brewery counterparts.

Look: The colour of orange pekoe tea, with medium carbonation. Pours with a thick 2 finger white head that gives way over 5 minutes leaving a small head across the top of the glass.
Smell: Very light nose. Mild tea.
Taste: Tea with a hint of caramel, dry finish....maybe a slight hint of green wood.
Feel: Smooth, medium bodied. Fills up the mouth, strangely leaves the tongue underwhelmed everywhere but the sides.
This beer is a solid B to a B+ in the right mood. Refreshing, subtle with a few interesting things going on as it warms. This is a great gateway craft beer to use as an introduction to friends new to craft beers.

One of my favorite cream ales. I’m not normally a fan of this style but the amber color, slightly thick feel for an ale, and just enough hop forward flavor works well
