Eno River Brewing

This small brewery is located in an industrial building along the Eno River outside downtown Hillsborough. It is easily accessible from I-40. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. On a nice day the outdoor seating is very pleasant. When I visited a band was playing outside. The vibe is great. It appeared to be mostly local families having great time. The quality of the beer ranged from decent to quite good. The staff is friendly but they were very busy. In addition to the draught pours I enjoyed, I purchased cans to take home.

Converted Warehouse with a chic inside. Behind the bar, large glass windows look into where the brewing equipment is. Outside there is a covered patio in the rear and a lawn that runs up against the greenway. It really is an ideal location for a brewery right along the river -- something Hillsborough definitely needed. The food truck was found in front. For a busy opening weekend, the bar staff managed the crowd well. Also, the Mount Occoneechee trailhead is a short walk away.
