Trader Joes has started carrying this as "KBC Mighty Cascade Brut IPA". No exact match her but wanted to put in a review. This tastes like a West Coast IPA, but not the quality of say the Sierra IPAs like Hop Bullet, etc.. Relatively inexpensive, but I would rather go with the double and other better quality IPAs.

Rather one-dimensional IPA for fans of Fuggles hops. Don't expect fruity, citrus or pine aromas, it's very English and bitter. Not for everyone (including me).

Looks brown, clear, not a lot of lacing.
Smells a little of rubbing alcohol. Some hops. Mossy, earthy.
Tastes mildly hoppy with a big wallop of sweet maltiness is the middle, corn, cornbread, cornhusks.
Feels meaty and full to me.
Overall it's interesting for an IPA to have this much malty presence and so I have to give it credit for being different. However, I didn't much enjoy this beer.

12 oz bottle. - pours a nice deep amber with a nice 1/2" off-white head with decent retention. the beer is perfectly clear. no lacing is observed. on the nose, I get sweet malts along with hints of caramel, and even toffee combined earthy hops and some esters from the yeast. the taste is a bit on the thin side and disappoints. there’s the expected medium sweet malts with the caramel showing just slightly. the bitterness is there but it is more for balance (as you’d have in an English IPA) and not much for flavor. then there is something in the finish that is annoying. after a short sweet finish, there is a wave of unpleasant flavors that linger a while. the beer has medium body, with semi-rich, creamy texture. and moderate carbonation. overall the beer starts pleasant, but ends not so much. still it is drinkable.
