BAK HORIE Brewing Studio

BAK beer studio not too far from Dontonbori - the brewery and tap room are super small, small as in this was probably a literal garage at some point. Brewing equipment in the back, tap room with scandinavian clean decor up front. 12 taps and 3 small coffee shop style tables. It was not very busy when I visited late one weeknight. Wide variety of beer styles, including hops, sours, a delicious porter and more. Every beer I had was of high quality - in particular I felt they offered great mouthfeel across the board. Fantastic service, although the staff did not speak much English they went out of their way to welcome me and (via google translate) offered recommendations of places to see in Osaka. Serving beer in whiskey glasses irrespective of beer style is only real knock.
