Long ago, ale was known as 'liquid bread'. We've used our long history of creating the finest malt blends & added fair-trade bananas to awaken the senses with a seriously fruity, rich, yet surprisingly versatile banana bread beer.
An inspired brew made with our own natural mineral water & fairtrade bananas. Tempting Banoffee aromas & flavors are balanced by the silky richness of a masterful malt blend & the peppery spice of the freshest, ripest hops.

Amber colour, chestnut, clear. White foam, very high, with a long reduction time. Fine bubbles form a compact structure, decently fouling the glass.
The aroma is sweet, distinctly, intensely banana, with notes of sponge cake, pastry, banana cocktail accents and with a malty background.
The taste is moderately sweet (overripe bananas) with a bitter counter. With each sip, the hop bitterness gains in intensity, in strength, becoming almost leading.
Medium saturation upwards. Texture smooth. Body medium plus. Aftertaste long dry.

Poured from a 500ml bottle.
Pours a deep reddish brown , a light chocolate coloured head leaving little lacing. The smell is banana with malty grass lingering in the background and the taste follows on from this with the unfortunate addition of some kind of chemical. There's a bitterness throughout and a weird sweetness which seems . . . Artificial, thought the bottle strangely has no complete ingredients list . It's somehow cloying and watery and leaves a film in my mouth .
Overall . Looks nice, smells nice , tastes way too chemically, almost like a poor bitter with banana syrup . One I'll pass by in future.

Look: Amber, looks closely like a Yeungling.
Smell: Like bananas on your counter. Really does smell just like bananas which is really nice.
Taste: Banana with a sort of malty sweetness. Very nice!
Feel: Doesn't really linger in your mouth at all.
Overall: If you can find it cheap, it's worth a shot. It is really expensive though.

Unlike most beers that boast a specific flavour, this one actually tastes like bananas

Golden pour with a quickly dissipating bubbly head. Smell and flavor are as advertised--banana all the way. On the plus side, the banana flavor is legit; it doesn't taste overly sweet. On the negative side, this is a light-bodied trifle of a beer. Thin-bodied at best. Definitely a dessert mood beer.

Smells like it was brewed with Banana Runts, it has more of a banana smell than it does taste, it is also dangerously overpriced. If you’re a banana fan like myself, I’d recommend trying a single, the price and the flavor don’t justify an entire 6pk of the stuff.

One of the first beers I ever drank, back when it was wells and young. Used to drink it back at age 21, excited to revisit!
Acclimated to 48°F and poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a clear, light amber, maybe dark honey color, with a 3 finger white head with large bubbles throughout.
Smells of yeast, malt, and banana, I mean, it's a banana beer. something notable is that it smells not of banana fruit but banana extract (which I do also love). Slight smell of wax too. Agitating brings out more banana and almost a cupcake-y malty smell.
Initial taste is banana extract backed quickly a maltiness, in the vein of being robust, but gentler, I would call it bready. Letting it sit produces an aftertaste of maraschino cherries for me, and as I progressed through it I tasted that more through the whole thing. Drinking more I noticed a wisp of creamy vanilla before the aftertaste. There's a pleasant bitterness,
Unfortunately the banana for me is really more of a sensation than a taste, although I will say it definitely keeps this in the realm of a beer and not a beverage (I'm a fan of super flavored beer as well as beers with a hint of flavor.)
Mouthfeel is a little watery if I'm honest. There's nothing to complain about, it's just ok, but it kind of lays flat in the mouth.
Will buy every once in a while, but honestly mostly because I love bananas and banana flavor, and this is the only banana beer I've ever been able to get my hands on. It seems like I was harsh on it but I do genuinely appreciate and enjoy this beer.

Looks and smells great. Tastes like weak banana extract. Odd aftertaste. I really wanted to like it too.

Tastes pretty damn good. Not something I could have more than two pints of though. A bit heavy and flavored beer can only take you so far.

500ml can Decanting this beer puts a clear orangey-gold brew in the glass. A decent 2 finger puffy cap shows fair retention and displays top flight malts and mashing process. Moderate carbonation. Aroma is quite extraordinary: Lush ripe banana and tropical fruit tones over toasty-bready malt aromas and a wisp of herbal hopping. The aromatic fruit tones are very natural. The flavor profile has a good dose of bready floor malted amber malt in front with ripe banana and fruit tones balancing, then a sharp bittering takes over mid palate and rides out the finish in a tangy, lightly bitter, drying. A very well put together brew made with real fruit. It really does approximate the aroma of fresh banana bread

Tastes waaay better then what I originally thought it would when I bought it. Super light and a hint of banana, very good.
