Long ago, ale was known as 'liquid bread'. We've used our long history of creating the finest malt blends & added fair-trade bananas to awaken the senses with a seriously fruity, rich, yet surprisingly versatile banana bread beer.
An inspired brew made with our own natural mineral water & fairtrade bananas. Tempting Banoffee aromas & flavors are balanced by the silky richness of a masterful malt blend & the peppery spice of the freshest, ripest hops.

Purchased as part of a three for £6.50 from a connivance store that was once Timperley Village's Bargain Booze, a much missed nearby ale resource
Pours clear burnished bronze hued amber body with splurges of white head
Aroma is clove and nutmeg
Flavour is ginger cake with some very subtle banana aftertaste

Copenhagen 27/6 2014. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of a beer peeking up from banana peel on the label.
Pours clear amber with a white head. A bit bubbly. Head disappears fairly fast after pouring. No lacing.
Aroma is sweetish with (not surprisingly) banana and a little caramel. A more sour and tart edge to it as well.
Prickly carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is sweet but followed by a fruity tart sourness. Surprisingly balanced considered the Banana theme.
I did not have many expectations to the happy beer peeking from the banana peel - but quite ok.

L: Copper color, large pillowy, off white head, phenomenal lacing
S: Strong smell of banana, vanilla, just like banana bread
T: Sweet, banana up front, vanilla, taste does not linger, goes flat quickly
F: Carbonated well, crisp and dry
O: Definitely an interesting selection. I couldnt not try it when I seen it. Pretty good but not a home run.

330ml can courtesy of my wife's boss; first from Eagle Brewery, I believe
Poured into a Monkless tulip
P pours a clear copper/chestnut w/ 1-2f of slightly off-white head; looks good
N fairly bold; sweet banana bread, as advertised; spices; light toastiness; really nice
T drops off pretty significantly here; subdued forward of faint malt and banana sweetness; spices in the finish (which kind of overtake the profile, unfortunately); the elements are there, but definitely not to the extent that the nose conveys them
Mf light-med bodied w/ med-high carb (too much, imo); finishes dry; was expecting a fuller mouthfeel
O not bad; wish the profile was a little bolder and more cohesive; mouthfeel could use some work as well; great nose, though!

Copper color, medium white head. Banana dominates in the aroma. Moderate bitterness in taste, with notes of English hop and banana. Maybe too extraordinary for me.

Look: It pours dark amber with an off white head. Head retention is good.
Smell: It has some banana aromas with a musty support. There is a bit of a sulfury note to it in the background.
Taste: It has banana and candy flavor with some earthly elements. There is a touch of toffee in the background.
Feel: It has a medium body with the balance on the bitter side.
Overall, the aromas do not quite mess that well together, but the flavors provide and interesting beer.

Where is all the banana? Plenty on the aroma. Can get more of a banana bread flavour from the average Belgian ale or Wheat beer. By no means unpleasant but far more nondescript than it should be.

My taste buds must be shot!!! Didn't notice the banana at all!!! Some mild maltiness and grassy hops bitterness. Not a whole lot of nose or flavor. Beautiful clear copper color with a small white head. Average retention and minimal lacing. Mouthfeel was crisp but very light. On the whole, just another "meh" lager.

I'm honestly surprised I never reviewed this one, but here goes. Eagle's Banana Bread beer has an unmistakable aroma of banana bread as you open the bottle and pour. It pours a transparent amber color with a white head. You can be several feet away from this and smell the banana, but putting your nose in it magnifies it intensely. It's definitely worth appreciating the smell and the anticipation on your tongue before tasting. The banana taste is present, but unfortunately there is also a chemical off taste. It's not bad but it's not good. The mouth feel isn't bad and doesn't linger around terribly long. If the flavor was a little more keyed in, this would be an absolute standard fruit beer.

Amber colour, chestnut, clear. White foam, very high, with a long reduction time. Fine bubbles form a compact structure, decently fouling the glass.
The aroma is sweet, distinctly, intensely banana, with notes of sponge cake, pastry, banana cocktail accents and with a malty background.
The taste is moderately sweet (overripe bananas) with a bitter counter. With each sip, the hop bitterness gains in intensity, in strength, becoming almost leading.
Medium saturation upwards. Texture smooth. Body medium plus. Aftertaste long dry.
