Golden amber color and a nice hop aroma. There is a mild carbination and floral bitterness. Atouch of tangy malt is in the mix. A light touch, but overall a solid pilsner.

16.9 oz can date stamp 06/4/2025 into a pokal.
L: SRM 2 Pours clear golden caramel with a thin white head that recedes quickly to edge foam, minimal light steady carbonation bubbles, no lacing.
S: Bready malts, a hint of grains, honey with warming.
T: Gently sweet malts, a grassy hop note, distant pear, fruit zest, grains. There is light bitterness in front and middle, and it has a clean & zesty finish and linger.
F: Gently brisk medium-light bodied feel with a smooth center and a fast lightly drying finish.
O: A tasty premium beer that is easy drinking and is gently sweet overall. Its lightly dry finish is refreshing alone and this beer would compliment many foods. I desire more crispness but it is good in its style.

This is a nice German Pils pint, poured from a can, with 11 months left before the stamped date. It's a little darker and sweeter than I'm used to for the style. The head disappeared quickly with only minimal lace remaining. That said, I'm still finding it an enjoyable libation.

L-Excelllent clarity..light gold color

S-Grainy maltiness...a nice layer of spicy hops as well..

T-Bready malt with a light spicy hop touch...not nearly as grainy or bitter as some German Pils. I actually prefer this flavor but it is not quite what you'd expect from a German Pils...almost has some euro Lager like flavors...

F-Clean, smooth, medium carbonation..

O-I like this variation on the German Pils style...love the bready malts and dialed back dry bitterness...

16 oz can

Pours a pale golden color, thick white head. Decent head retention. Bready malt and mild earthy hops in both the aroma and taste. Starts grain and sweet but more balanced finish. Thin to medium bodied.

Crystal clear gold body with a large white head and light lacing. Aroma of crackers and bread crust dinged with floral hops. Taste starts with a touch of sweetness distributed among the grains before the hops contribute. A vegetal note disrupts the finish. Good carbonation aids the light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, neither bad nor memorable but at least it was inexpensive. A trip along a backroad, not the Autobahn, in the search for the best of the German pilsners.

Poured from 500mL can into a dimpled mug. Canned 3/1/22.

Appearance: clear golden hue with a bit of effervescence and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Looking good.

Smell: grainy malt with a rather light hopping that is perhaps a bit grassy and noble in character. Not too bad.

Taste: somewhat sweeter than the aroma suggested; there's a slight hint of corniness here along with the grain and light hopping. That's not to say this is made with corn, but the grainy element really contains a corny character.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this is a decently drinkable pilsner, if not a perfect one. The corniness isn't terrible, but it is admittedly a drawback.

I wanted to like this one, just didn’t happen. Poured from a 500ml can into a handle mug. Look was slightly darker than a usual Pilsner, reminiscent of wolters. Smell was slightly off, almost sort of an apple smell. Taste confirmed that immediately, and this is coming from a can that is only a few months old. Maybe it was a bad batch but I couldn’t finish this one.

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Pours a clear brass topped by plenty of lightly off-white foamy bits. The nose comprises light cereal grains, mild flowers, and a touch of fresh grass. The taste holds notes of hard water, mild biscuit, grass, and flowers. The body straddles the line between hefty light and light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a wet feel. A nice little pils, straight up.

Had Colbitzer's Pils poured from 16.9-oz. can, bottom stamped "P08.03.2021" and "E08.09.2022," into pilsner glass.

Pours gold with 2-finger creamy near-white head, with good retention, pulling a little sketchy lace down the glass. Aroma of big sweet malt off pour, then some Noble hop spices join. Begins with smooth creamy full mouthfeel, then sharp and fruity hop bite, over slightly sweet malt, which carry into a crisp, just edging to bitter finish.

Reliable, characteristic German Pilsner.

500 ml can in a pint glass. A rich golden color with ok mouthfeel. On the light side for a Pilsner beer. The head disappears quickly but the light champagne bubbles keep coming. Inoffensive but not really interesting hops flavors. Been there done that. For the pice of a buck it’s OK.

L: Pours a nice gold color with a bitchin two-finger white head with great retention.
S: Smells rich of sweet grains, faint amount of floral, hops, fresh bread, honey.
T: Follows the nose, really digging the breadiness, straw aftertaste.
F: Light-medium bodied, high carbonation, super smooth, super crisp, absolutely crushable.
O: Really great beer for the style!

Pours clear, straw yellow in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is grass, bread an earthy hops. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, medium-low carbonation. Makes for a solid German pils. Nice and easy to drink. Yeah I could see myself drinking a bunch of this.
