I recently had the Malheur 10 and wanted to see what this one was about. Exceptional carbonation and admirable color. The ABV is well hidden! An underrated but still short of world-class Quad.

Dark brown/mahogany. Heavy sticky fruit and booze smell. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, less intense than the smell. Sticky fruits, a bit of booze, dark malts.

Had mine after cellaring about 3 years.

A very well-made, very true to style quad. I cannot complain in any way about this.

Rich, velvety mouthfeel with low carbonations, as expected from the style and from the length of aging. Texture was just a touch grainy from floaties.

Delicious plum, prune, and raisin flavors came from the port wine colored beer - nothing unexpected in this department. Maybe just a touch rough or herbal on the finish that wasn't optimal.

A great beer that just didn't have anything that takes it to the next level.

This Quad from Landtsheer was decent.....at 12%abv was very smooth and easy to drink. The beer poured a rich amber...maybe dark amber (was tough to tell with the darker room I was in) there was a sudsy head that dissipated and did not leave a lace. The scent was typical of most Quads...not overpowering. The taste was slightly tart with good Belgian sugar to balance it out. The mouthfeel was medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it was decent...and I am not a quad guy.
