Pours a finger of head on an almost clear dark straw body.
The aroma has a nice dark fruit and grain smell.
The taste is malty sweetness with a touch of lemon bitterness.
The texture is a bit too fizzy.
Fairly enjoyable.

Blimey!
I've never done a review for Marston's Pedigree.
So they you go
beer 1900, where it all begin, my first bitter.
Bottled and bottle conditioned
Pours a clear burned bronze body with decent enough white head.
Yeasty peppered bread aroma
Wholemeal bread malt body with spritely bitter finish
Not a big one but a decent consistent

If you're a bitter drinker, you'll like this. Not going to bore you with 'complex flavours', 'hints of this' and 'notes of that'. Not too hoppy, and full of flavour if served by a pub which looks after its pipes. Very smooooth! If you check my reviews all 'decent' beers aren't too hoppy and 'citrusy' I can do without.... just add lemon if you like that.

I grew up near Burton. The greatest area of brewing known to the world (look up the Burton method). The greatest beer known to the world was the now defunct burton ale. This is the runner up. It doesn't travel well. Drink it at the source in burton. It is one of the greatest beers in the world.

Reddish coulor, aromatic nose, crisp, fuity flavour. Very good overall.
