Pours a boring amber with a good amount of off white head with nice lacing and retention. Bourbon, oak, vanilla, fruity ester and floral hops. Hops are surprisingly absent however.
Taste follows with vanilla and oak, biscuit and caramel malt. Could use some more hops. Moutfeel is ok, but the alcohol is pretty in your face here. Overall, meh.

A BB aged imperial pale ale from bc? Hell yes. Don't mind if I do!
Appearance. Pours a deep amber with half a finger of creamy pale burnt-orange head.
Smell. Bourbony vanilla, toasty wood, some sweet fruits. Smells good.
Taste. Nice light bourbon, toasty malts and toffee, some earthy hops. Pretty mild and quite nice. Fairly clean finish considering the flavours going on here. Alcohol is well hidden.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with medium-low carbonation.
Overall. Pretty unique. Proves that a beer doesn't have to be a brutal monster to benefit from bourbon barrel aging.
