Our Zeppelin Beer is a so-called "Kellerbier". The name "Kellerbier" has historical roots, dating back to the time when beer was still served directly from the cellar. It is an unfiltered, naturally cloudy beer with a low carbon dioxide content, and it contains all of the natural sediment. As a result, Kellerbier is rich in valuable nutrients such as yeast, protein, minerals and vitamins.
Following the old family tradition, Zeppelin beer is brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516. As with all of our beers, we use the world-famous Tettnanger aromatic hops, high-quality barley grown in upper Swabia and pure water from the uplands of the Alps. We give the dark amber Zeppelin beer seven weeks to quietly mature. The result is a fully flavoured, mildly malty Kellerbier of the highest quality and goodness with an alcohol content of 5.2 percent. It’s a beer which is almost unrivaled in taste, thanks to its extremely delicately spiced, original flavor.

Reminds me of an amber lager. Think Yeungling with a little more flavor. Cheers! B- (80-84) score range

Dark beer with strong flavor, light head, cloudy in the glass. A good beer, a little stronger flavor than I like, but still a good one.

this one is a little bit of a mess, i had higher hopes for it. dark for the style, and hazy beyond even what we are used to in things like hefeweizen, its reddish brown in color, very murky, but holds a nice head, even in the half liter stein its been served to me in. i like the unfiltered german styles, but this one is pretty mucky. sweet too, i get that caramelized but not all the way fermented out molasses sweetness, some ageing wheat malt, and a little bit of a hefe type yeast, slight banana and autumn spices. notes of red apple and cider in the flavor, brown sugar, stale wheat, and slight oxidation, odd for draft beer but there it is. the seems poorly handled, and i am sure it is far superior over seas closer to its point of origin. i like the bigger body, but there is too much residual sugar here for this to be real drinkable, even though the bubbles are there and it has a nice hearty quality. rotting fruit in the finish, very fall, but not all that tasty, i had a hard time as it warmed up. had much higher hopes for this, not too often i see cool german stuff i am unfamiliar with, but this was lackluster at best.

A: The beer is clear dark amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that settled down, leaving a small pillow of bubbles in the center, a collar around the edge, and a thin layer of bubbles on the surface in between.
S: Light aromas of apples, bready malts, and yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste generally follows the smell and has some subtle hints of sweetness from the fruity flavors. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This seems to be a little lighter compared to other kellerbiers, but it is still flavorful.

A: [3.25] The beer is a mahogany color. It forms a small off white head that is less than a 1/4 finger. The head dissipates immediately leaving only a ring on the edge of the glass. The bottle lists the ABV (5.2%). There is some kind of code - that might be a batch or a date code (can't decipher).
S: [3.75] Brown bread, apples, brown sugar and a mild peat scent.
T: [4.00] Similar to the nose with brown bread flavor dominating. There are hints of apple fruitiness in the background.
M: [3.25] Lighter in body with some prickly carbonation. There is a quick finish that makes the beer seem like it has even less body.
O: [3.50] This is a pretty tasty beer. I have a harder time recognizing German styles when tasting blind. This is a darker more robust beer with a hearty brown bread flavor that is good. The more subtle apple notes add to the overall appeal. The mouthfeel is a bit weak but doesn't detract too badly from a decent beer.

Pours a dark hazy amber color.
Smell is a mix of sweet malt and dark fruit.
Taste starts with a roasted malt then a fair amount of sweetness.
