This beer has some decent heat and a nice light pale ale taste, but don't expect a habanero sculpin here. Overall, a good beer that I would recommend.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has an orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is light, some citrus. Taste is citrus up front, followed closely by peppers, heat is present, but not overbearing at all. feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a pretty good beer worth trying, if no other reason than for the novelty of it.

Scale of 1 to 10 I would have wanted to have the sriracha prevalence at at least a 4, but it's maybe a 2...

A: Orange brown in color with some small floaties goin' round. Not much white head on top.

S: Fairly classic pale ale aroma, with a hint at heat in the back. Slight pine and grapefruit, with heat in the finish.

T: Definite heat in there, but it is matched with a nice grapefruit flavor, the heat comes out right away which mellows into grapefruit followed by a touch more of the peppery goodness.

M: Medium light in body, with fairly high carbonation. Somewhat dry finish.

O: Overall an interesting take on the classic APA. Decent hop flavor, and the heat is enough so you notice, but not so much that is is uncomfortable. Would go well with pizza. That being said, I think I prefer peppers in stouts..

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass.

A nice basic deep copper brown, a little more to the orange side with an opaque body and a little bit of see through appearance slightly. Minimal carbonation and extremely slow rising, almost like it's stuck. Head is foamy white off color just a bit, almost tan hue to it. Styrofoam like thin cap, with a fluffy top and good staying power and retention at three fingers.

Surprisingly a bit of a muted nose. Mild pepper, almost a bit of vegetative carrot sense too heh heh. Kind of got a chelada thing going on but with not as much tomato sense. As it warms it becomes stronger getting more chili forward as well with a nice juicy quality.

Palate is a little lacking. Mid hot black pepper warmth at first quickly washes away on the finish. Aftertaste hits with a little bit of caramel but a distinctly light bodied caramel, and a bit of chili warmth. Slightly grainy and flour like powder aftertaste with a washed out pepper aroma. Faint toasty aromas slightly, a hint of brown bread as well. Mouthfeel lacks quite a bit, a little thin, and fleeting not really coating the palate or bringing much to help the flavors pop out either, and quite wet too.

Comes out more basic pale ale than anything with a little bit of pepper, and really doesn't even taste much like sriracha at all strangely. Oh well, better luck next time.

12oz into a solo cup.

A: Dull medium-copper with 1/4" egg white head that recedes immediately. Retention & lacing are blah.

S: Cilantro, tabasco, Old Bay-ish note, cayenne, some mild hops & a touch of bread.

T: The burn is detectable immediately but very mild. Some savory spices up front lead into a surprisingly juicy mid-palate colored by some fruity, citric hops & mild malt character. There's a bit of burn through the finish as well but it's offset by faintly sweet maltiness.

M: Big, overcarbed & unexpectedly malty. Overall I'd say it's grainy & a bit too light to really showcase the palate.

O: This brew should benefit immensely from a food pairing. Seafood would be my go-to based on the dryness & level of spice here. As a stand-alone brew this is OK but maybe a bit tedious.
