Notes: It slithers through the city in search of his face. No place too seedy, no place too fake - they're all on the menu tonight. And of course she'll find him irresistible, for it's the forked tongue she prefers.

Hops: Warrior, Columbus, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, Galaxy

12 oz bottle
Best by 9/2/19
SN Spiegl glass.

Hazy light gold with a fluffy creamy head of 2 fingers leaving lots of lace as it recedes.

Heavy piney sappy aromas with grapefruit zest, lemon zest, and tangelo. Slight tangerine and blood orange. If I were blindfolded and was smelling an Alchemist beer or something similar I would rate it similarly, it's very good.

Flavor brings slight seltzer fruitiness to start, in the form of grapefruit, strawberry yogurt, mandarin orange, and blood orange; then a nice sawdusty pine wave comes in with lingering notes of apple and sawdust.

Feel is crisp and heavily carbonated, pleasant resins, a little too oily on the finish but only by a little. Mild warming alcohol.

Overall, this beer is better than its overall score IMO. It's refreshing and tasty and moderately complex. I'd have it again.

I thought this IPA was pretty good easy drinking but I thought it was mild for an an IPA it is mild but good though.

Look: cloudy dark golden with a finger thick white head

Aroma: caramel, grapefruit, floral, pine

Taste: It's lots of caramel some grapefruit and orange and pine at the end.

Body/Overall: light to medium body

Pours light and hazy. Smells fruity. Fruit and hop body. Not overpowering. Slight malt sweetness at the end. Very smooth and refreshing. You wouldn't think it 7.1 abv. Very solid brew.

Look: Clear yellow/amber with a rocky head. Good lacing.
Smell: Pine, grapefruit, lemon, mint. Not as heavy on the nose as a lot of IPAs.
Taste: Light caramel malt sweetness up front. Some citrus sweetness. A nice, minty, herbal, slightly bitter hop aftertaste.
Feel: Light, dry, crisp, and refreshing. Slightly watery.
Overall: This is a nice, mild, balanced, light IPA. Extremely drinkable.

On tap on Reston va. Decent lacing minimal head. Aroma is very weak. Taste is ok, a mild hoppy profile, more of an APA than IPA taste. Mouthfeel pops. It’s very drinkable but not a stellar IPA by any means.

This beer pour a bright orange with a solid head. The aroma leads with grapefruit pith, bright pine, bitter orange peel, and resin. The flavor follows suit, with grapefruit pith and a bit of flesh, bitter orange, pine, and a touch of caramel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with tight, tense carbonation. Overall this is a really delicous classic beer, with good balances between sweetness and bitterness, and a rather moreish tinge.

12oz bottle, served in a milkshake pilsner glass. Date stamp: 03/22/19.

Appearance: Light to medium amber with just a bit of haze. Initial 1/4" thick white head died back to a persistent thin foam across the top. Long lasting fine strands of lacing all over the glass.

Smell: Faint - mostly floral with a bit of pine and citrus rind.

Taste: Hoppy up front with pine, orange, lemon, a bit of bready malt sweetnes, and then a very unexpected finish which is lager-like with noble hop character. Very unusual and it clashes just a bit.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, good thickness, definite stickiness on the teeth. Dry finish with some lingering spiciness on the tongue.

Overall / Drinkability: Versus all the other hoppy AIPAs out there, this one isn't very hoppy and has such an unusual finish that I feel its quite unique, but it's not quite working for me either. I find one is enough. Maybe with the right meal I would feel different about this beer, but by itself, it's just okay.

Amber body with a two fingers head
Quite citrusy, and resinous. Some caramel. The bitterness is distinctive. Not really balanced in any case.

Very non-descript IPA, not very much flavor besides a vague bitterness and some oily hop acidity, heavy on the malt and not exactly a refreshing option

Poured from fresh 16 oz can.
Look was a very nice copper, with a large frothy head, a bit of lacing that lasts till the end.
Smell was of citrusy, grapefruit mostly, and some pine.
Tasted very nice, with good hoppiness, a little bitterness which was nice.
Feel was good, smooth, very easy drinking for 7% ABV.
Overall, very nice IPA offering. Can get locally, cheap. Will continue to purchase.

Pours a slightly hazy orangish honey color with a thick white cap that lingers and leaves good lacing. Aroma is citrus hop forward. Flavor follows with lots of citrus and a good hop bite. Feel is fresh and crisp, well carbonated. Overall a decent beer without being special.

Pours a light copper with a moderate white head. This is a solid, citrusy (predominantly grapefruit) IPA with a caramel malt backbone. A decent example of an old-school American IPA.

Some have said this is underwhelming, however I find it to be a really nice, smooth drink. First drink I had from Flying Dog, will definitely look into there other flavors. Lots of grapefruit, not overly filling.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Hazy, faded gold color. Soapy, thick white head that dissipates quickly, good lacing. Moderately-high carbonation.

Lots of citrus and tropical hops in the smell. Pineapple, kiwi, cantaloupe, oranges, grapefruit, other notes of pine, resin, and grain, along with herbal and floral notes.

Piney, hoppy composition that is not too dominating, but has a bitter aftertaste and sweet malty balance. Notes of grapefruit, oranges, pineapple, grain, and other citrus and tropical flavors. Feels richly smooth.

A respectable American IPA. Exactly what I was looking for, an easy drinking IPA. Well done flying dog. This is a good one to mass produce/distribute.

A pretty much straight-down-the-middle IPA. Aromas and flavor track closely, with lots of piney and citrus notes (mostly grapefruit). There's some balance in the flavor, but it's still on the aggressive West Coast side.

Pretty good light orange spice flavored hoppiness. Light filling sensation. Slightly bitter. Nice cloudy gold beer. A good wood working beer. Better than blue moon imo as a orangesque beer. 1in head on heavy pour. Overall good satisfying ipa. Will buy again.

Poured a clear copper to amber color with a little bit of head. Very little if any lacing. Citrus smell; rather pleasant. Taste is mostly pleasing but seems to have a metallic aftertaste. A bit of a thin feel but I'd guess that it would be easy to drink and pretty smooth. I expected better but it was a middle of the road IPA.

On tap at BWI. Looks like a classic West coast IPA. Clear golden-amber color with a fleeting white head that left splotchy laces in the glass. Aroma was muted. Trace amounts of pine, grapefruit, and a touch of caramel malt. Assertive bitterness with somewhat muddled hop flavors that were hard to discern. Mainly pine but other elements were there. Overall average.

Medium gold with a decent head with medium-large bubbles. Nose is not strong, certainly more subtle than the taste but yields citrus and tropical hops. Delicious fruitiness with a tropical feel including pink grapefruit and marmalade. Medium bitterness. Medium body.

Poured from a can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy amber pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing.

S: Light... grainy.. mild citrus.

T/F: Grainy malts. Somewhat thin... mild citrus hops. Mild to moderate bitterness... a slight mineral quality. Herbal notes. Carbonation is on point.

O: Looks good... taste is a bit all over the place and not sure where they were going with this. Fairly high ABV for what you're getting in terms of flavor, so not terribly sessionable. Not one I'd pick again when there are much better options easily available.

This brew is missing a crucial element needed to categorize it as an IPA. Perhaps more of a lager, missing the the trademark hoppiness of an IPA. A good beer goes down easy, nice color.
