A potent snakebite of Citra, Mosaic, Warrior, Simcoe, and Columbus hops (more than 2lbs per barrel) gives this beer its citrus-forward superpower. Orange and tropical fruit aromas temper slightly-piney crispness, turning Snake Dog into a more complex breed of West Coast IPA. You’ll find Snake Dog bites hardest when paired with peppery cheeses, curries, and mild Thai dishes whose names you can’t pronounce properly.

Pouring a cellar temp bottle into a snifter. This beer was a gift from my brother Brian.
The beer pours a bright clear copper hue with creamy eggshell white head of 2 cm that fades to a wispy surface layer.
Aroma is grassy and grapefruit rind citrus. Lots of hops on the nose with only a little bit of biscuity malt on the balance.
First sip reveals a smooth texture and slightly sticky body that coats my palate on each sip. Carbonation is fine and tingly, adding to the sensation as I swallow a mouthful.
Finish is very dry.
Flavor starts with just a bit of caramel but moves to all hops quickly after that. I get some citrus rind and grass and a fairly astringent finish. No doubt this is an American IPA.
I dont detect any of the booze that I thought may show through at 7.1%.
Overall this is very drinkable and solid IPA. I would try this one again if I was looking for a hop fix without completely blasting my tongue off.
nice beer!

Having this beer at the Baltimore airport, and I just ordered a crab cake sandwich. Poured from tap into a tall pilsner glass. Clear yellow color with a good white head and good curtain lacing. Smell and taste of pine and citrus. Sharp, fairly bitter finish. Taste a tad soapy. Overall pretty good. Hope it goes well with the sandwich!

Look: It pours golden and clear with a white head. Head retention is excellent.
Smell: There are stone fruit aromas with some bread. There is a. bit of spiciness to it.
Taste: It has stone fruit flavors with some bread. There is a bit of spice and funky yeast to the flavors as well.
Feel: It has a medium body with medium bitterness in the finish.
Overall, the stone fruit works well with the grainy sweetness and funk.

Out of a can, into a glass. Since finding this particular brewer and this particular beer several years ago, it has been my go- to beer (hence my handle). I have had better beers, but given my location, my nearness to the brewer, and my personal taste, I have grown to love this beer.
