appearance- poured a black color with a one finger head that stayed around for a little bit and lacing was visible.
smell- smelled like dark roasted malts with maybe a little bit of sweetness.
taste and mouthfeel- tasted of rich roasted malts and a touch of carmalized sugar with a somewhat bitter finish. mouthfull was nice for a porter even though i could've liked it a little bit thicker.
drinkability- drink up kids this is a good one.
* a good porter to introduce to a new beer drinker.

Those brown and dark red colors. Off white head 1/2". A lot more roast in the nose than I saw coming.
Taste, still more roast, coffee from the malt flavors. Nutty, caramel, toffee, coffee. Hopping is there too. A little dry finish. Not bad stuff. Assertive and bitter with all that other stuff going on. There's a bit of a scotch ale vibe going on underneath it all as well.
