Dark brown and red appearance, thin off white head on it, 1/6". Massively boozy and red malt caramel feels throughout the aroma.
Taste imparts a little more roasting than your average barleywine, definitely comes across as not American Barleywine, although that is primarily via the absence of hops relatively speaking. Mildly sweetened caramel, a hearty bitterness in the 60 ibu range I'd say. Would not repeat but if you want to get your warmth on, this will do the trick.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Beautiful deep red colour, low off-white head. Moderate aroma with notes of dark dried fruits, hints of oak, dust and alcohol. The body is somewhat lighter than expected, which makes the beer quite drinkable. Medium sweet, nicely balanced with the hops.

Smokey amber, small head. Love the aroma of red licorice, caramel and bing cherries. Sweet flavor profile with a strong alcohol finish.
