A-Burnt orange body with light, but dissipating, white head. Very clear body and no lacing.
S-A nice root cellar rawness to this beer. Heavy lager overtones with a sweet biscuit notes. The slightest touch of fruitiness is detected.
T-Big, clean kick of crisp malt with a slight hop bitterness rounded out by a present, but subdued yeast characteristic. The taste is similar to a fresh euro lager, but a little fuller tasting. Small touch of skunkiness, but overall a nicely balanced and flavorful beer.
M-Nice medium to full body a bit of a coarse and gritty mouthfeel. A metallic aftertaste is noticed.
D-Ok, not a great example of an artisinal farmhouse ale, but a nicely flavored lager in an ale's body. A bit to clean for me to consider it a true Biere de Garde, but hey, flying dog is not your typical french farmhouse either. This is one style that I would love to see more breweries experiment with.

A: Pours brilliant gold to amber under a rich 2” off white head that dclings to the glass leaving sheets of lace.
S: Spicy nose with a touch of very ripe fruit.
T: Fruit, malt and a touch of sour.
F: Very good medium to medium full body, highly carbonated.
O: Very drinkable Biere de Gaarde that would go very well with a sausage.
