An alright interpretation of a belgian IPA, not really that great but not terrible. Deffinitely has more of an IPA than a belgian character, that can be a good or a bad thing depending on what youre looking for.

Malt bill is heavy and competes for control with the hops. Has a sweet caramel / honey / candied orange flavor predominantly. Yeasty belgian flavor only appears on the aftertaste, its nice but not as bold as I would have expected. Finishes bitter and dry with hoppy notes of pine. Mid weight body. Alcohol profile is quite apparent, you can tell its an eight percenter.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Color was amber almost looked like a good amber/red. Nice crisp citrus smell and taste. Haven't had too many Belgian style IPAs but I like it. Plus it has a great name that I can annoy my wife with. (:

This was pretty good. Pours a medium brown color with off white head that laces nicely. Starts off with a malty taste, then a balanced wave of hops follow. I would buy this again, but wouldn't necessarily seek it out either.

Pours a amber to brown color with a light thin head. Smells of C hops and sweet bread. Taste of malt and citrus with very light or minimal belgian character coming through. If this one did not say "Belgian IPA" I wouldnt have known. Maybe I am comparing it to closely with one of my favorite Belgian IPAs from Epic but ya this is not a Belgian IPA to me. With all that said its not bad. Medium body with a wetter finish than anticipated.

Light brown pour with a thinner, lighter brown head. Think 1/5" type of depth. Aroma has sweetness, brown malt, even a C hop grapefruit edge to it.

Taste, hops are there, alcohol is there. Belgian yeast comes out, leans fruity. I've never been a big Flying Dog fan, but this is actually one of their best beers. Its heavy, its aggressive, its warming.

Poured from bottle into tulip aggressive pour yields 1 finger cream colored head that hangs around a while, nice lacing. Dark amber in the glass, pretty clear, nothing floating around. Smells faintly of malt, very little belgian esters hanging around, some citrus and pine on the nose. As it warms, more bubble gum smell is evident. Taste initially malt sweetness on the front with the citrus/grapefruit and pine in the middle, odd thing is this finishes more with the fruity belgian esters. Not complaining, daughter picked this up for me in Tulsa and halfway thru the six pack. Nice beer, good mouthfeel, not too ipa'sh and not to belgian'sh, just middle of the road. If this ever finds it's way to Texas, could see keeping this in the fridge.
