Growler into pint glass. Pours an oily black with a brief tan head. No lacing. Initial impression is surprisingly (for an Imperial Porter) tart dark fruits. Mouthfeel tends to the thin side. Finish is fruity and tart. Not my cuppa tea.

From the growler via Country Fresh in Beechmont. This mighty brew in
the Gonzo series (Barrel Aged Gonzo) pours a dark blackish brown with a
nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and
sports subtle lacing. Nose of bourbon, vanilla, dark cocoa, dark coffee, and
cherries with subtle char. Flavors hit it out of the park with dark sweet and
tart cherries, mellow bourbon, subtle char, cream, coffee, and dark chocolate
laced with vanilla. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich, coating, lightly
slick, mellow, and finishing lightly dry from the cherries.
Overall......WORD! The Notorious BAG is one bad brew...in a good way!
Cheers!
