Golden amber brew, slightly cloudy, with one finger head that only slowly dissipates. Smell is of spicy, citrusy hops. Taste is so bitter that it nearly obscures the hop flavor. Alcohol is also very forward in the taste and interferes with my enjoyment of the brew. Finally a bit of malt appears almost in the after-taste.
Overall, not one of my favorites. May still be a too bitter for my palate, although i thoroughly enjoy ipa's i may not be ready for an imperial ipa. Then again, that very forward presence of alcohol doesn't seem to me to be supported by the rest of the beer.
